Why exactly can't we have wool?

That's our community in a nutshell. We've had our fair share of constant fights between both staff and regular members in the past.

 

I'm just going to wait to see how this plays out. I know the coders have rarely ever reverted an update, yet the community won't stop bickering about this issue.

I still want to know why it was changed? "Oh it looks better!" is not a reason. "Its newer" is also not a reason. The Alex skin is new too, why not make that the flag?

Let's hold an official poll to see which one is better. I prefer wool though.

 

I'm just pointing out how irrelevant that information is to this discussion baring to annoy other players involved in the argument. Nothing more.

 

Personally, I don't mind the banners, (although I do prefer the wool). The only concern I have is the difficulty of stealing the flag, (I probably ran through the banner 10 times before I actually picked it up but that might just be me), and the recovery rates (which also might just be me..), other than the fact that wool does look more appealing on one's head xD.
Most people go to recover as a class with little or no armor. Because of this, they are most likely to die after they kill the flag holder and recover the flag. But whenever I tried to recover, (yes yes, huddle in for a story), I did manage to kill the flag bearer but the flag would appear behind me and someone else would pick it up and I'd die like that xD. And it's not the first time it happened, it would happen a couple of times every game which is why I pretty much gave up on recovering ;u; but again, it might just be me ;-; but I do miss the wool... Although these are just my thoughts c: ^-^

 

This is essentially the Pyro nerf all over again, people will eventually adjust.

 

I have to say that I like wool for the many reasons given in this topic. I am just going to state in the recent days of playing ctf, getting the flag where the enemy's defense is good, it's very frustrating and annoying stealing the flag, and it was much easier to get the flag when it was wool. This is coming from the perspective of a 2 and a half year player with 3500 caps, and I gotta say that wool > banners!

 

No, people wanted a Pyro nerf. Why was this added? Not one, I mean NO ONE wanted this. Its a worthless waste of time and coding. It had no need at all. I dont mind it, I dont cap. But it still had no reason to be added.

 

I vote we just add chests back to CTF... easy solution.

I dont know if you were around during the time but a lot of people did not want the pyro nerf. Why do you think people just started spamming their flint n steel in protest because of it? Eventually the anger died down and people realized that they were dumb for thinking Pyro was ok in the first place.

The same thing will happen with the Banner, it isnt much different from the wool that we have and all the arguments regarding the banner are due to glitches or just because of nostalgia.
