    Hey Brawlers!

    I'm a hacker reporter which has almost 50 reports in one month.
    I only have 3 with incignificant proof, but one of them got banned after I got better proof.
    But of some reason I have 9 failed reports, because of the stupid "User previously banned for same incident thing". Why does only the first person that report a special player get the ban credit, that's not fair since, how would I know if someone has reported that person a little bit earlier? I think everyone who reports the person before he/she get's banned should get ban credit.

    Sorry, too easily exploitable. Let's say someone posts a report not in the report section. Someone could say, "Oh, some noob didn't post that report in the correct section! Let me also take some of the credit for free!"

    But what if that noob isnt good at detecting hacks and is wrong? Then you get a failed report too, and nobody wants that to happen

    I have seen reports with obvious hacking posted in a section publicly viewable. Sorry, it's too easily abusable.

    I have never seen a report posted wrong in the 1 month I've been playing Brawl

    I have been on this forum since 2013, and I've seen this happen several times. The only reason I can't get an example is because staff delete threads that violate the forum rules (goddamnit, now would be the perfect time to use one of those threads).

    Let's use this as another example of exploiting this idea. Let's say you're my friend and I gather up numerous pieces of evidences of rule breaking. I could easily share the credit with you since you're my friend, even though you didn't do any work.

    Maybe only if the first proof is deemed insufficient can additional proof be provided for that incident.
    I'm out of my league here so... whatever.

    There's nothing wrong with reporting someone that already got reported and or banned before. Feel proud of yourself you caught him too and that you've so many reports. It wouldn't make any sense to watch proof from others if the reported player already got banned. The first reported gets the successful report, of course. If someone else reports an already banned player, his report simply can't be successful, because it wouldn't make any difference. And because your proof doesn't need to be watched, we can't even check if you're correct. I hope you understand now why reports work like this.

    But I mean: I didnt report an already banned player, several people reported him before he got banned.

    At the moment your report was looked at, the player you reported already got punished.

    It means that player is already banned, for the same reason you reported. So we really can't do much about is without intrusive implements. I say check their ban history right before you report.

    You don't understand what I mean.
    He was not banned when I reported him. No moderator checked the reports until later, and only gave the first reporter ban credit, everyone who reports one guy before he gets banned should get ban credit.

    What if the players who reported afterwards didn't actually provide significant evidence to even prove the player was cheating?

    Ban credit shouldn't mean anything, point is that they are banned whether you get the credit for it or not.

    Dude! You've just got to accept that life isn't always a fair and square dance on roses. The feature you suggested can't be implemented for the reasons listed above.

    Another thing is that you don't really report people to get the credit, you report people so they get banned, just as @GeothermalSucks said above.
