Things that bother me the most

I do agree with you here.
I think we need a few tutorials and perhaps a book that tells the basics. The tutorials would be linked in chat, so you could click on them and you would be redirected to the video.

However, there is 1 problem - who is going to make it?

A few ideas for tutorials:
1) Learning the basics of the game mode and flag sites, etc.

2) Class spotlights - with tips for gameplay. (Approx. 1 minute)

3) Capturing the flag - when to capture and how.

4) Advanced strategies and tactics.

 

CTF is still in Beta. They're probably gonna add this stuff eventually.

 

It is impossible to have absolutely no hackers on there. We can never have so many staff members or so precise auto ban systems that hackers are instantly banned. Of course hackers are not fair, thats why we ban them.

You claim nothing is being done to ban hackers, which is also false. We finished the command /report, we added a Slack Hacker Report Chat and we invented a new staff rank, Moderator, and all this only to ban hackers faster.

 

So, uh, less than 150 games? That's, like, a lot. Just bring the books back, and that way, any noobs who keep being noobs by not reading the book are WILLING noobs and should be considered easy kills.

Anyways, I'd like to bring up another topic. Why do hackers bother everybody so much? Like, seriously. What effect does it have in the long run if a guy has to cheat to beat you or to cap? Worse comes to worse, he proves that he's bad at a block game. And yes, I know, it *ruins the fun*, but fun is still relative. You can easily make it a challenge to beat the hacker and continue to have fun, instead of getting upset that somebody is bad at the game.

Essentially, do continue to report hackers, but don't get your knickers in a twist over something so small. Not like you're losing any money or physical property over it.

 

I think having a lobby would help. @Quarrelt mentioned this in a post at some point. She said that there were a lot of things to be done to make the gamemode more noob friendly.

About the hackers, it's up to you to report them. Mods can only be on so much. You can record them, use /report, or use Slack.

 

Write some signs in the hub world in the ctf building, each wing could be used to explain a different part of the game. I think this should be done to all games to keep consistency, and isn't a bad idea to educate new willing to learn players.

In each map, there is already a how to play thing in the floaty box, just copy and paste.

 

The reason hackers are a lot more prevelant on CTF is because of the lack of an autoban system on Brawl. With the acquisition of Knohax do you not plan on implementing the autoban system?

 

I think they are 'working on it'.

 

This would be nice, as would @Ducksfan101's idea, but do remember, Brawl is getting a new hub very soon. Is it really worth the effort?

 

Yeah, they should make a tutorial like the one in TF2.

I never said we wouldn't have an autoban system, I only clarified that there will always be hackers and that we are doing everything we can to ban them.

i think maybe we can kill them more easy if the medics web them and then the assassins and archers can easily hs them

 

I think that a tutorial system would be a very useful idea. I see people fairly frequently asking questions like "where's the flag?" or "what does the flag look like?" I answer them when I see them, but equally I'm sure there's a lot of people who don't get an answer and are still in the dark
