    CTF Map Submission

    Map Name: Tanks
    Creator: Xelasi
    ID: 178357
    Style: Small canyon, futuristic. Inspired by Halo's "Blood Gulch" map. Reworked my original for balance.
    Specs:
    - Size:
    280 x 100,
    - Map time: Locked at 6000
    - Caps: 3
    - Block 97: Beneath spawn and flag room. Around flagroom and in area marked on November's post.
    - Spawn blocks: Lapis block / Redstone block

    Just my personal preference, have the coal ore under something around the edges.
    (It just doesn't look right to me but just my opinion lol)

    it looks really good and i cant really see any big gameplay issues but there are a couple of things i would suggest changing.

    one thing i've noticed with wave x is that engineers have been a massive problem. i had to add more restriction blocks to the entire of the lighthouse flag room, i know inge had to add more restriction blocks to his maps and so did bird and shadow. they've also been a big issue on parklife. since the map is flat-ish i can see it being difficult to get into the flag building with all the engineers that have been about recently, especially considering engineer knockback is broken and is how it used to be before. i know you said you added block 97 below the flag room but i'm not sure how far out it extends. if i were you i would add restriction blocks near the area that i highlighted in the screenie because otherwise i think they'll be a big issue.

    this isn't too big of an issue but i think you could consider cutting off this part of the map. it's just unused space and, with the amount of cover around it, i could see it being used to camp with the flag. it's nothing major though

    i would also consider adding sponges that take you somewhere across the map. this is because games are now generally a lot bigger than they were previously, so getting to the other team's flag without taking too much damage is a lot harder. i also think this map is pretty defensively op, mainly cuz of the open flag room, how you can have eyes on everything that comes in, and the nature of where the flag room is (fairly isolated, with a flat area around it, making it pretty difficult to sneak in). i think with these factors combined players will have a very hard time capping but i think sponges should help to speed up gameplay and reduce this issue.

    Forgot that engi was broken again. Adding block 97 to the areas marked.

    @Xaethros mentioned that the spawn was headshottable. Fixing.

    If you look at it very closely, you can get the picture it looks a bit like Waterfalls. But, slightly edited.

    - Added block 97 in marked areas ^^
    - Fixed the edges, now visible in images posted.
    - Added a sponge near spawn launching toward midfield
    - Added a drop down single block flag room entrance above water since flagroom is open/def heavy
    - Added a small wall near spawn to reduce spawn headshotting
    - Added supplemental sponges beneath the ladders leading to treetops.

    Nice map. I like the tanks. I think it would be a great addition to CTF.

    I personally don't like this map, because of the issue with soldiers. It's basically Beaver Creek with a different flag room and less archer op. Other than that, I love it.
