[Unofficial] 3v3 Tournament

General Information:

Well, the tournament has made a return! For those who remember, this tournament was first started by @Skarm for the Official teams "The Black Knights" and "Solar Eclipse." The tournament was a flop and was never completed. However, near the end of McPvP's run, I decided to recreate the tournament but open it up to everyone. Since McPvP went bankrupt, the tournament was put on a massive halt and was never heard of again. People then began to ask if it would come back and what would happen to the current progress. After a little bit of discussion with @Pin_Head, I've decided to let the tournament make a return but with some adjustments.

The tournament didn't make it very far (we were only in round 1,) so I've decided to erase all of the progress and start the entire tournament over, that means all the teams participating will have to sign up again to participate. Also, I've decided to let the representatives decide on the rules (though, I have the right to the final say.)

Also, a lot of people (for some reason) got angry about this last time, but the tournament will stay as only eight teams. The more people that join the tournament, the more of a hassle hosting it will be. People can be extremely unreliable, especially in large numbers. To make up for the little spots, this will be a double elimination tournament.

Finally, the last item in this section is to say that this tournament is played in a 3v3 style (hence it being called the "3v3 Tournament.") It does not matter what Official team you are on, you don't even have to be on one to participate in this tournament. However, you need to be reliable to participate whether you're a representative or a member. If I see that someone on your team is going to cause an issue with showing up, following directions, etc. I will ask you to find a different team member.

Rules:

These rules apply for all of the games played in the tournament. Although it may not be listed, please use common sense. For example, even if the rules don't explicitly say "no spawn camping," that doesn't mean you can do it. Use your head and do not cause issues. I have the right to disqualify any player (or team if it is that drastic) for:

• Bad sportsmanship (in game and in the representative chat)
• Breaking the rules
• Bending the rules
• Not showing up to the match
• Being inactive in the representative chat
• Being a smart aleck (in game and in the representative chat)

This does not mean I will disqualify you if you do it once, but numerous offenses will cause me to disqualify that player or even the entire team if it's more than one person.

• Dwarf, Engineer, and Necro are banned in all circumstances
• Each class has a limit to one
• Medics are not allowed to heal people, they are only allowed to capture or play an offensive role
• Ninjas may not steal the flag, pick up the flag (unless recovering,) or capture the flag
• Buffing is not allowed in all circumstances (this goes only for Strength + Speed and Fire Resistance)
• Limited to one Chemist capture per map
• Limited to two Soldier captures per map
• No web spamming
• No egg spamming
• No flint spamming
• No respawn abusing
• No 414ing (rapidly switching between sword and redstone as Ninja)
  
• One person must be on Offense at all times

Scheduling Matches:

When scheduling a match, please be aware of the official team scene. This is just an unofficial tournament, we are the lowest priority when it comes to matches. Do not schedule when there is another match, whether it be in this tournament or the official team scene. When the match is scheduled, please ask a moderator, or a representative from the official team scene to put it on the spreadsheet. Asking @RTKno1 is also a good idea as he handles the spreadsheet.

After that is all done, you now have the green light to make a thread. When making the thread, please title it as [3v3 Tournament] OneTeamNameHere vs. TheOtherTeamNameHere. Then, send the link in the representative chat.

There will be deadlines for when these matches need to be done. I've seen tournaments crash and burn because teams weren't playing their matches, let alone even scheduling them. If I see a representative not being active, I have the right to tell the team to get a different representative or a different teammate in general.

If you are interesting in participating, please follow the application format below. If you do not want to list your Skype in public, I will accept a PM though posting it on the thread is a lot easier. If possible, please list the name of the representative first and have them make the post. If I know the representative or any of the teammates will be inactive, I will deny the team until the issue is resolved. Please do not apply until your team is full. I have the right to deny any team and/or player from playing whether it be because of attitude, inactivity, or other issues. However, even with that, this is still a first come first serve opportunity.

Bracket:

As said above in the "General Information" section, this tournament will be done in a double elimination style (for those who don't know, double elimination means there is a losers bracket.) After every match, I will update the bracket so the tournament can be easily followed.

The way the match ups will work is through a randomizer. Here is a picture for proof that this was completely randomized:



Now, below is the bracket for the entire tournament. Once again, after every game I will update the bracket with the correct scores, who advanced, who got eliminated, and/or who got sent to the losers bracket. There is no prize for this tournament.



Conclusion:

I don't want to see the thread bombarded with complaints like last time. If you seriously have an issue with how I'm running this tournament, then take it out on me over Skype. Then again, complaining about how I'm running things probably won't change my mind.

Also, please do not move this thread. This is strictly for Capture The Flag and does fit in to the team scene.
