Idea Class limits (like Headshot)

    Hi!

    Do you guys remember headshot? The CTF-alternative gamemode on McPVP^^ Other classes and stuff.

    Ok so I'm basically writing this because just now I was in another game with like 10 people on defense (and this is not an exaggeration). About 4 ninjas, one dwarf, a pyro, a medic, and a few randoms.

    Well, similar like to Headshot, I think there should be class limits (also similar to CTF team matches). These class limits can be talked about, the height and such, but I really think they should be enforced just to limit absolute ridiculousness, like a total overdo of ninjas, for example. Or three pyros. Every offense regular knows how annoying and cheap too many pyros are. (Or 6 medics, @Ducksquad)

    Just some examples, just a very vague idea, this shouldn't really influence gameplay too much (people should most of the time be able to play the class they want to).

    What'cha think?

    Seriously? You're going to limit the amount of supporting classes we can have? /s

    In all seriousness, I'd be pretty happy with this. I feel like limits on pyros, dwarves and engineers are probably needed the most. Free classes, IMO, should stay unlimited.

    Perhaps, but what if all the slots are taken up by people who don't really know how to play?

    +1 for this idea. I agree, sometimes defence just gets too crowded with dwarves and pyros it's basically unstealable

    I'm just going to rough draft this out because I have nothing better to do.

    Archer, medic, and soldier: Max 20 each per team
    Heavy: Unlimited
    Assassin: Max 5 per team
    Chemist: Max 5 per team
    Dwarf: Max 3 per team
    Elf: Max 6 per team
    Engineer: Max 4 per team
    Pyro: Max 3 per team
    Ninja: Max 6 per team
    Necro: Max -1 per team (jk) Max 4 per team
    Mage: Max 5 per team
    Fashionista: Unlimited, because everyone should be able to harness its majestic power (But seriously, Max 2 per team)

    And now rank bonus stuff:
    +2 VIP slots for every class
    +5 MVP slots for every class
    +Unlimited Elite slots for every class
    I'm just going to explain it in an example:

    How the rank slots would work for, say, ninja:
    Slots 1-6: Available for everyone who owns the class, as long as nobody else is occupying those slots.
    Slots 7-8: Only VIPs and higher can access these
    Slots 9-11: Mvps and higher can use these, but not VIPs and normals
    Slots >11: Only elites and higher can use these.

    Fridays would ****ing ruin players who actually paid for the classes. We'd be forced to play as heavy, or even worse... Necro.

    Imma go with -1, because headshot allowed donors to play any class. If I bought recon, I could play as recon no matter what. So, this wouldn't work for limiting donors. I mean, they paid for the class, and now they can't use it?

    Keep class limitations out of the CTF topic. Let nubs be nubs and think and see how bad they are when they rely on 3 dwarfs to do the whole defense and think they are good (just an example). Let class limitations go into affect only in matches, but for now in public games, no.

    What happens with all the random medics who dont even know you're able to heal. In a gamemode full of good players +1. But with the way brawl stands -67

    I'd prefer it to be percentage-based as opposed to raw numbers. Or else you could have 3 dwarves in a 6v6.
