    We really wouldn't be here if it wasn't for our mods/refs. Through good and bad times, they have always been there for us, working hard without fail. They set up our matches, assist us with problems, and trap us into glass boxes which we enjoy. They lead us, they provide for us, and are always working their butts off for us. The refs and mods do so much for us.



    Now, with that intro, let's get started.


    We all know the mods work hard for us. But do we take it for granted? Every match that happens, we can thank the refs. They set our maps and white lists. They read the rules. They ref. And they do it because they care. They care about the community, and our thriving community would not be as it is now if it wasn't for them. So without further notice, I would like to present to you....


    REF APPRECIATION WEEK

    That's right folks. Ref appreciation week. During this week long event, we, the community, shall show our gratitude and thanks to our refs/mods; The people who set our matches, enforce the rules, and who do so much for us. We shall devote this week to our mods and refs for their hard work. They've always been there for us 24/7, so it is time we give back.



    How will we do this?


    This will be a community ran event. You decide how to show your appreciation. For example, simply thanking a mod/ref ingame will do the trick. If you want to devote a thread to a mod/ref, go ahead! You decide if you want to contribute to this event, and how. This is a week devoted to showing our thanks to the mod team/refs.

    This event will last the whole week, and hopefully will continue after the time period ends.

    For now, I would like to thank @aRandomBob157 . He has done so much for the community, and made it what it is now. He is always in the rep chat, making funny jokes and overall lifting spirits. He can easily change my mood from negative to positive. Apart from that, he is also hard working, and sets up many matches and is an amazing referee. Ty Bob!


    In the comments below, please feel free to post positive conversations, jokes, and memories involving the mods. Also, feel free to thank any ref ingame, on skype, or anywhere for their hard work and devotion. This week goes to them!

    I guess even I should appreciate the mods, even if some annoy me to no end. Anyways, Thanks for keeping the server as peaceful as you can. Me and everyone else(except hackers haha) appreciate it. Thanks. I give some recommendations to any senior mods or so. Make brendoom a mod. He deserves it. Hes been really good; but yea, thanks all the mods.

    P.S I obviously am not good at compliments. 3 years of hatred will do that to ya. derrrr

    Naw but seriously, you guys just lifted my spirits a ton with this whole thing today. I've had a terrible week with a family member being ill, finding out that I actually have to pay for college (?!), and a bunch of other depressing stuff. I was even considering taking a leave of absence for a bit and had even spoken to Cuddled about it... guess this goes to show how far a thank you goes :smile: I wanna thank YOU guys back for being an amazing community to moderate and really, if it wasn't for you guys, we wouldn't be doing any of this. From the bottom of my heart, thank you guys. For making this day amazing and for being amazing people to work with. As an additional thank you, I've started talking with the other members of the CTF Team Committee about planning the third annual All-Star match so look forward to more details about that soon! Love you guys <3

    P.S. PLEASE make sure to thank the other refs as well, not just me. They're all amazing at doing what they do and I have nothing but love and respect for all of them.

    I would like to thank @Decelvice , @Xelia_ , and @Nohox for being 3 funny people put together, you guys are awesome <3 so are all the other refs but you 3 are just amazing people and deserve to be in the position you are in now. You too, @aRandomBob157 .

    Also remember the refs that are no longer refs, they did a great job before the move over, and some during Brawl.

    I would think that by us (as in the community) following the rules, being cooperative in whatever situation that's needed, and more or less keeping this community how they remember it when they were at the same level as us (aka do what we always do.) would be enough of a appreciation for their work. But I have no problem with events like this (not that would mean anything if I did anyways.). Enjoy your week and thank you all for not resorting to the garbage moderation I have seen on so many other servers before this one.

    Yeah seriously though, we appreciate the time and effort u guys put into making our experience greater. All u mods are friendly to chat to, fair to all players, and in general are all round good people. I don't think I have ever seen mods receive serious hate, which goes to show how awesome u guys r at what u do. In terms of the refs, matches would simply not operate without you. You have to put up with late decisions, postponed matches, randie scrubs and annoying players, not to mention having to potentially shape ur real life schedule around matches, and u do it without question. This is a reflection of your character; selfless dedicated human beings who deserve mod and all of the accolades. For me (and probably others too), the mods we have on ctf are a key difference that marks brawl out as an exceptional server, elevating it above the likes of hypixel and mineplex, who have some power hungry mods who don't care about the player base.

    Although all the Mods and higher are all a bunch of Buttlords, I like you all a lot and I thank you for everything you've done for us. Like that one time @PanDaniel_ got banned by a (not so good) Staff member and you did that for him. I don't know how to say thanks enough, but I think almost everyone in our community owes at least 1 of you guys something. So I'll start with thanking you all by giving you the title of ButtCount and Buttlady (female Staff). Enjoy your titles.

    Ignore the Buttlord'ing thing, Idk how to say thanks so I do it in Buttlord-way. Just thank you for all you did for CTF!
