CTF... Ruined?

    Many are complaining about the recent pyro nerf, thinking that the instakill ability should remain. Try and imagine that, as well as pyro, ALL instakill abilities were removed from CTF.
    Soon, this could be reality.
    It has been said that the pyro nerf is only the beginning of removing instakills, and that eventually they will all be gone.
    Most cappers are probably thinking it will be amazing. Think otherwise; A world without instakills, is a world without a challenge. And some of the key points of CTF (for the players) is to have fun, have a challenge, and to become good at the class you main. There'll be less fun, due to a lesser challenge, and will be pointless playing for the good pyros, archers and assassins, because after their months, or years improving and improving, all that effort will be wasted.
    I definitely don't agree with it, and neither do most of the CTF community, so, me and @Dan_7777777 decided to make a thread with a petition and list of people who disagree with this decision.
    If you DISAGREE with removing instakills, put +1
    If you AGREE with removing instakills, put -1
    Before you vote, think about this: Shouldn't the person responsible for these nerfs at least find out what the players think before going forward?
    After all, we know what makes the game fun, challenging and enjoyable more than anyone!

    Before this goes any further, I'd like to point out that these changes were pushed yesterday - it hasn't even been 24 hours yet.

    I tried my hardest to keep the instakill but in the end we had no choice. A poll was already made as well as countless threads and debates where many people stated they wanted instakills - it's not going to happen.

    What we should be doing, is playing and adapting to the new meta styles that arrive and the staff will change the classes accordingly to better suit the game - which is what should happen.

    Change will happen one way or another and as much as we (including myself) may not be fond of I sometimes, it's better to realize that early and use our energy to improve on the new changes rather than dwell and sulk about the old stuff being gone.

    -1 to instakills, but +1 to a combination of abilities that can be rapid-fired to kill someone with little time to react.

    +1 if the classes that had instakills remain
    -1 if the classes that had instakills are removed all together
    If you remove instakills, remove the instakill classes all together. If an assassin cant instakill, wtf are you expecting the assassin to do? Even the /name/ is meant for instakills.

    You could have it do massive damage in a short span. Archers headshots are effectively uncounterable. Instakills should go.

    whats the "massive damage" ? How many hearts? Assassins are incredibly easy to kill once they cant instakill you so either you're gonna have to be giving them more armor or something.

    CTF staff puts tremendous effort into making this game enjoyable and a challenge, and to be honest, it was too much of a challenge with Pyro having insta kill. It was like a bulky more weaponized Assassin. They did the right thing in my eyes. For Assassin I kind ofdisagree, but that is a whole different story.
    Staff did the right thing and balanced out the nerfing and boosting. Now Soldiers can't cap as easy and now Pyro's can't instantly kill you once you have entered the flag room to cap. I believe it is much more fair now, and if people don't? Well we have to get used to it.

    -1 instakills are an implement that should never be in any modern competitive game, or at least be difficult to execute (Like spy from tf2 for instance)

    -1. The staff are a lot of things, but they aren't THAT stupid. They realize that with the removal of instakills, changes to other classes will be needed to balance out the game.

    If u havent realized, heavy Will Get a nerf because its ez af to cap now. And if heavy gets a nerf? Well then archer is op af. And after that, "Wait, ninja can caps easily! Lets just nerf that class to!" "Owait, this gamemode has no pace anymore! Wait why is everyone leaving ctf?"

    Ive seen people hating om it in every game ive been in today, and i was on a long time after it happend and was on for 2 hours. And also there is a thing called skype group chats

    Anyways +10000 from me

    Ahm actually it'll be more difficult for heavy to cap than all the other classes. Since pyro is now true damage, heavy has the least amount of steaks out of all the classes. Therefore it'll last the shortest amount of time against a pyro if they spam steak.

    Like @Miskey said if they removed instakills and change the classes the correct way there really wouldn't be a problem. Change happens, I in particular like change.
