    They just do different things.. sometimes you cannot web sponges while other times it works perfectly fine. Sometimes the webs appear one block ahead of players when you hit them with it. I made a small clip of some things that are different:

    :07 webs can't be placed next to flagposts.
    :12 was that my aim(?) or did it popup a block behind of where it should have landed
    :50 they don't place on top of carpets anymore
    1:12 I can't verify this, but it seems like webs barely effect players if you catch them in one Edit: Webs don't give knock back sometimes

    @NomNuggetNom @Medicore_ @__Mountaindew__ @VN2004 umm I can't remember other active medics.. sorry

    That's weird. I had noticed that you couldn't really put them on sponges anymore. I don't know what's goin' on.

    Also I'll tag more people when I think of 'em: @Winneon

    Just tried it out, webs don't go where you are aiming at, blocks next to it, infront of it, I think not being able to throw at the flagpost is because of the armor stand entity, nothing else going on for me tho

    Can confirm, webs are acting rather strange currently.

    Yeah, I certainly noticed something strange at the beginning of this year with webs. They didn't do what they used to, and they do really strange things, like the ones shown in Reuben's video. I haven't said much about this yet, but it's really making aiming webs a lot more difficult than it used to be. .-.

    I agree, the web update is more harming than helpful.

    Its mostly how the coding for Snowballs work, Nom explained it as the Snowball entity being ever so slightly inside the block it hits before it disappears. This means that the web will be placed on the closest side of the block the snowball was inside before it was removed. This is the most obvious with carpets, as the snowball is closer to the sides of the carpet in comparison to an entire block above the carpet. Not too sure if this is %100 accurate to his statement as he mentioned it about a month ago.

    Vury strange webs lately.. Sometimes i've noticed that if I throw a web at a preexisting one, the thrown web disappears...

    I miss incasing my afk teamates in webs :c that was fun
    there was also something I wanted to say and I forgot so I guess i'll edit if I remember

    i think the intended change was to prevent medics from webbing teammates, and also to stop web shielding (Placing webs in yourself so you can't be hit by melee)
    probably some unintended stuff from that

    I'd think they would mention that in the update log. Also it's still possible to do it. It just takes a bit longer to do

    I do know that shooting anything (anything that is shootable) at the flag post will render whatever you shoot ineffective, like you can no longer shoot a mage spell at the flag and have the firework explode, along with a pyro arrow... #RevertBack
