Idea Assassin Rework Suggestion

    Yo! I'm an assassin main and I know how annoying assassin can be. I don't want assassin to have the same fate as pyro, but I do agree that it definitely needs some tweaks to balance it. This rework will be a mix of Plautius and Arevoir's suggestions, and I do reccommend you check their reworks out too (links at the bottom). So, I have these suggestions:

    1. Passive Regeneration-
    Remove the fact that assassin regains health by getting kills and instead give it passive regeneration like ninjas. This would give assassin way more sustainability and can still function even if it takes 1 or 2 hits by random people on the way.

    2. Passive Speed 2 and Startled Ability (Tentative)
    Remove Assassin's speed boost and replace it with this. This gives assassin a passive speed like ninja and makes its speed boost less overpowered. Nerfing speed boost, which assassin relies on for quick recoveries, makes assassin much more stealth based. However, the startled ability gives assassin Speed 3 or 4 when they get hit. This makes it better at avoiding randees.

    3. Stealth
    Assassin has no nametag. Can't be seen through walls. Improves stealth. Check Arevoir's rework for more info

    4. "Leap" Item (Inspired by Arevoir's Rework)
    This move temporarily removes the sword from the first opponent it hits. However, the assassin can be instakilled during leap. This move will prevent fall damage instead of assassinate. Leap pushes surrounding enemies back on the first hit (though doesn't do damage to anyone except to the one directly hit). This would give counters to enemies who just spam block in a corner and make flag carrying much more than holding block for the entire round (yes, I am really salty about this)

    5.”Assassinate” (Inspired by Plautius' Rework)
    Has to be charged for 1 second/has 1 second to charge up. Getting hit during the charge up will insta-kill the assassin. Assassinate will last 5 seconds after charging. This allows assassin to charge assassinate, use leap, then perform an assassinate if they don't get killed by teammates.

    Ok, reading it again I don't think I really explained my rework that well.

    What is the goal of your rework, and how do these changes help achieve that? I do not feel qualified to give feedback without this information.

    This seems OP as f0k
    You can just activate yur assassinate, then leap, then kill them immediately because they can't block

    Combining both the Leap and Assassinate into one class would be, as Obi said it best,
    That's my opinion at least. I'd say one or the other, but not both.

    While I like the general idea it only really caters to one specific situation (standoffs), and everything else feels kinda glued on. Sure, it would be great at random killing, but it wouldn't be much fun.
