Oil - Another way of making money

Hi. This is an idea inspired by one of @charlottethegirl 's post:
Oil.

Explanation and Information
In cities you can buy boats and buckets for 100 G. When travelling around the world you can find Oil sources, which is retextured Lava randomly spawning around the world. The lava doenst flow. These Oil sources can be picked up using a bucket.

When done farming, you can head to an 'Oil Refinery' located outside of cities similar to the rebel bases.
There you can go to the "Oil Processor" where you can process your buckets of oil, which takes 20 seconds per bucket.

Once done processing you can go to an "Oil Trader", also located outside of cities, where you can sell your buckets of oil. These are only located around special buildings for "Oil companies". Each refined Oil bucket will give 300 G.

Oil companies are similar to Cartels. You can take them over to get 5% of the money people make by selling oil.
There are five Oil Companies. Each companies grants you 5% of all money made through oil. I. e. If you taken over 4 Oil companies you get 20% income, if you've taken over 3, you get 15% income.

It is a legal way to make money.

Optional Additions
Also, this could be implemented simultaniously to an ocean map update. In the ocean you could find oil too.
Also there could be a city in the ocean.


Just to make things clear: The oil is spawning randomly.

Oil works similar to drugs but is legal and more rare.

Oil could be on land though, but still rare.

It is less lucrative, you have to find it, it's rare and randomly spawning which makes it hard to find.

As I said, a map expansion is optional.

You probably misunderstood me (or I wrote dumb stuff.). I didn't mean it makes comparative money, it works similar.

I don't think legal activities have to be very safe. You don't get any bounty by doing legal stuff, that's the important part.

But I can agree that travel/interaction feels not very westerny. So it is optional.

And yes, it would be work. I know that. But it is very similar to drugs so the system could almost be 'copied'.

I know, I know. But from the processing/refining, its basically the same. It surely is a job for the builders, but well, deal with it. The random spawning is kinda difficult, too. But if there were fixed points for it, it would be worth less.
