An agreement is an agreement. You cannot bypass this in any legal way.

Well that is not correct, that is why there are lawyers. If you life in a country you agree to follow their laws, but there is always a way to work around these laws as example:
You agree in a contract to advertise something in a positiv way.
You realise the product is actual *not that great* and you don't want to support the company anymore, you go ahead and say stuff like: Oh look this ____ can heat your house, it burns great.
You worked your way around the agreement.

EULA sounds optimistic for all people who don't want to donate the servers. Soon it'll be all equal.

Would you rather play Brawl without having a donation rank, or would you rather not be able to play Brawl at all because its shut down because of this "equal" EULA change?

But I still don't understand what will happen to the premium (what a great word) stuff and the shop.

Yes- IMO this is probably going to happen, where votes = credits for classes.

I have Horses on Wild West, and Gun/Perk on War. I know the VIP/MVP/ELITE will be reworked, but what is planned for the items that I have purchased?

@chickenputty - Does EULA allow time-access subscriptions? My thought is that you could have different access levels for play times; level 1 (free) gives up to an hour a day of play, level 2 (VIP) gives up to two hours, level 3 (MVP) up to 4, and level 4 (Elite) unlimited. This keeps the incentive to buy levels, lets people at least access the server if they can't pay, and (hopefully) be EULA compliant. It would also help manage busy times on the server.

The other thought is that classes/kits/etc are earned through credits for various activities. These could be from voting, from cumulative play time, refer-a-friend, or some kind of in-game points system (example: MVP for survival could be earned through buying it with 5,000 in-game gold in the shop). This would allow heavy players or voters the ability to earn classes, and classes/kits could be grandfathered in. You could even push for a sale of these classes/kits to people before the switch, letting them know this is the last time they can buy them...

Edit: all of this is allowable per EULA:

Time access is allowed, I believe. This would fall under like a "free trial" scenario.

So if you're blacklisted what exactly does that mean?

Would you rather throw your money at a stupid cosmetic that doesn't do anything for gameplay or keep the money in your pocket for something else? Yea...

Anyways, just saw the news and I'm a bit disappointed in Brawl's lack of change in response to EULA. You knew that they were going to do something. Emails were sent by Mojang. I loved my time on Brawl but you guys should have found a way to incentivized donations without overpoweredness awhile ago... This is just laziness fam. SMH.

Anyways, just out of curiosity, are you allowed to keep things such as XP / Credit multipliers given the fact that they don't alter the state of the game itself? If so, couldn't you just make what was previously premium items a ridiculous price / level minimum that is so absurd you have to get multipliers to get them? By the logic of "Play to win", that does fall under...
    (Mc-War EZ FIX)

For other servers that have OP commands etc., couldn't you make one universal credit across all servers that buys everything and make donator ranks give multipliers that allow you to buy OP commands that cost a crap ton...
    (Mc-WarZ EZ FIX)

You get what I mean though... Multipliers = Win. They technically fall under EULA and by making commands / weapons / etc. that is premium before accessible to all but at a very expensive, you make incentive possible. That's my 2 cents. If Multipliers are against EULA which I don't think they are given they don't affect gameplay, then just ignore this. (I didn't read it so if I'm wrong... RIP POST)

Overall, in response to @SoCool21 , no, you don't throw money at a stupid cosmetic. But, you do throw money at services that speed things up.

As I kick back and watch MC burn...

For real, This is interesting to see how top-dog servers can continue running while other servers just die off.

I watched DramaAlerts video and MCPVP was mentioned. MCPVP: The start of the EULA cancer.

When I saw Brawl up on that list, I laughed.

TBH I don't know where I'm going with this post. All I know is that if all B-list servers die, Minecraft will go down in history as a joke. Cosmetic stuff will only appeal to young children who haven't seen other outcomes for their money, like saving and buying a gaming rig/console.

Mojang may have just shot themselves in the foot...
