Flag poison was meant to stop people from camping with the flag, causing games to go on forever, and when it was first added it worked alright because no-one ever went medic to heal people. Now though, it seems as if every other game is a tedious 20 minute session of 2 people camping with the flag with medics, ninjas, pyros, engineers and chemists defending them. Flag poisoning needs to be stronger if its going to be anything more than a slight annoyance to cappers.

This is an idea I had a while ago, and it probably will sound quite crazy. For the first 2 or 3 minutes, flag poisoning acts as usual, removing 1 and a half hearts every 30 seconds or so. However, after a few minutes, it starts permanently removing 1 heart every minute. This means you can't be steak up or be healed to any more than 9 hearts (after the first poisoning). The lowest your maximum health would be is around 5, but it could be increased if its too small.

This sounds like a pretty strange idea, but in most situations I think it'll work. Most of the time, if there's anyone trying to recover and the flag carrier isn't surrounded by teammates, flag carriers will only need a few minutes to cap (or in my case, die with it). If it takes more than a few minutes, chances are there's either no-one trying to recover or the flag carrier is surrounded with teammates.

If this change is added, it probably won't be necessary to be added into the match servers, as recovery is actually organised there, but in most normal games its very hard to organise a team to recover, since almost no-one ever co-operates in a casual game.

Also, as always, the exact figures I posted are just an approximation of what I think would be best. They can be increased/decreased as people see fit.

The only problem with this is that players can just drop and give the flag to someone else and their health is restored.

I think medic needs to be changed, not flag poison. Without medic, the camping would be less severe.

Besides just Medic... then there's the problem of turret cakes, and chemists. Including doing suicide and someone else picking up the flag for you.

The flag poisoning may have to be the one changed considering medics don't always heal flag holders, and there are other healing factors as well, we can't just cut the majority considering they all have close to the same effect imo.
