    Sup… uh, everyone I guess.



    Welp. I don’t think this is really surprising anyone considering how inactive I’ve become as of late. I suppose every moderator has their time to go, and while I thought I was gonna last as long as CTF did, I think I did pretty well given my circumstances. Today makes exactly two and a half years since Wiki_Kiki promoted me to CTF mod on MCPVP and I couldn’t be more grateful to him, Coasted, and the other CTF staff at the time for giving me a shot. However, a couple things happened this summer that just made me want to leave. First off, pretty sure you guys have heard of the amazing game known as Overwatch. This game is crazy fun and I’ve had so much genuine fun playing it, fun I feel like I haven’t had in such a long time playing a game competitively. Unfortunately the second thing that happened revolves around the whole manager thing that was “supposed” to happen. Long story short, I’m just salty I didn’t get it. I don’t really care who agrees with me and who doesn’t, I just know in my heart that I would’ve been a good choice for the role. This in turn, left me very hurt and with all the other team related drama going on left me really unmotivated to keep going. Constantly being harassed about how I’m a bad ref, a corrupt committee member, how the CTF staff is doing absolutely nothing just did nothing but lessen my desire to help. If you recall, there was even supposed to be a tournament this summer but I just didn’t feel like putting in the work to organize one if I knew nothing was going to change. The All-Star match was really my final job I wanted to do as a CTF mod and if you were there for it, you guys know that I couldn’t even get THAT done right. I don’t know what’s to become of CTF in the future, and that’s what worries me. I’d like to think that my resignation isn’t going to change much but I honestly don’t know. It seems like we’re all just getting older, at the same time and I know eventually we all gotta go one way or another. All I can really tell you guys is to try not to drive them away. Every insult, every sarcastic remark, they pile up and if it got to me, I know it can get to them as well so please try not to give them so much crap. Same goes for the future CTF JMods, as they will eventually be reffing matches as well. Hopefully things get better and CTF can bounce back from our current state, I don’t want to rule out the possibility of coming back one day if I gain back the motivation (although I have zero plans to do so at the moment). That being said, I might be around on the forums or maybe even ingame at times but I’ve basically lost interest for now so don’t expect to see me much. Happy cappin guys, hopefully I don’t pull a baker and come back in like two days (jk love you man)

    It really sucks to see a great addition to the CTF staff go.
    I can understand your reasons for leaving, although I never thought that people would be so unkind to a great person. I still think that you are a great person and CTF staff member even though all the stress you were in.

    I'm really happy you had to re-post this because it gives me the chance to make it look like I had made this response earlier...

    Bob, bob, bob. Where do I begin? When I joined the MCPVP forums, I can't believe I made you put up with someone like me. I was obnoxious, stupid, and if I had to deal with me from 4 years ago, I would've banned myself. Seriously. There is not a lot more I can say about this period of time besides: I am truly sorry.

    Moving along our timeline... to when I was semi-mature during the period of time I was a fMod, and our teams faced off on Maze frequently. fMod'ing was a similar story to the paragraph above, I would've demoted myself today if I acted the same way. Playing maze matches together though? Damn. Those were some good times. I remember playing on CTF before some of the matches started and see you (and mostly your team) talking trash. Stuff like "We have a maze match to win, be back soon" - and this always fired me up to play, and I had tons of fun during those matches. Sadly Galaxy ended abruptly and I drifted away from Maze, but those were still good times.

    Since then we haven't interacted much besides general moderator encounters - but I know you truly love CTF (clearly, you're either insane for staying for 30 months or a legend. probably both.), and I have so much respect for you even though I might not always agree with you. I knew not getting CTF manager had to have hurt you a bit, but I was pretty impressed at how you kept your cool in the staff chats. Did you notice my low-key attempts to help you get it in the last few weeks in the CTF chat? Lol.

    I know you said your resignation should've been expected, but it wasn't to me. Sure, you haven't been active recently, but I can't believe you actually resigned, inactivity can always been bounced back. When I think "CTF Moderator/Manager/Leader/Admin" - I think of you. In my book you have surpassed any other figure in CTF (Wiki and Coasted) by an immeasurable amount, even if you don't see it for yourself. This is because of your perseverance, attitude, and passion - something not every moderator has.

    Sorry for not making this sooner, I was trying to plan out what I was going to say a little better but when I saw the 2.0 version of this... I figured:
    **** it.

    I didn't actually work with you much, but Saixios always thought highly of you.

    Hearing wiki and coasted made me sad for the past days that will never come back.

    And this is just a game about blocks. Good luck in the future bob.
