    Ok I guess this should have some sort of intro/disclaimer

    Alrighty so I'm guessing most people know who I am, I've played ctf for around 4 years only really being active for the past 2 1/2 years. During a large portion of this time I was an assassin main I guess now I might be considered a soldier main a Mage main or just someone who plays everything. I don't think this really has anything to do with
    Ok before going forward this rework is inspired from a league of legends champion move(don't judge me), the champion being Zed and the move being death mark, I've thought about a rework like this for a while but never shared. Another thing is in this rework I have included the numbers for cool downs and activation periods and such, these numbers are loose estimates and should be taken as such and are likely to change if this would get accepted.

    Armor:

    Same as current assassin

    Items:

    1)Iron sword
    2)Redstone(renamed "Mark of the Assassin")
    - After using assassinate the iron sword gets moved to where the Redstone used to be(same as current).
    - The first player hit while the Mark of the Assassin is active gets "marked" for 3 seconds(can be indicated with particles or whatnot).
    - The assassin who placed the mark is resistant to fall damage.
    - Marked soldiers are unable to wallclimb.
    - While marked all damage toward the marked player is taken normally for 3 seconds and the damage taken during those 3 seconds is taken again in one chunk of true damage 1 second after the mark ends(4 seconds after activated).
    - Marked players are unable to be marked again by any assassin for 10 seconds starting from the time they were marked(6 seconds after the secondary damage is taken).
    - Mark of the Assassin itself has a cooldown of 20 seconds.
    - You have the same amount of time to apply the mark as the current amount of time you can assassinate between right clicking the Redstone and hitting the player.
    3)Sugar(2)
    Same as current

    How this would work if you got confused.

    Current assassin works by the assassin right clicking his Redstone and hitting the player with his sword if they are blocking they live if not they die.
    Reworked assassin works by the assassin right clicking his Redstone and hitting the player with his sword, whether blocking or not the player becomes marked. In the 3 seconds the player is marked all damage is taken as it would be normally, after the 3 seconds all damage that the marked player took during the 3 seconds would be applied again all at once.

    What this rework accomplishes/notes
    - No longer ping based
    - Not as hit or miss as the old assassin
    - Still has the feel of an assassin
    - Encourages teamwork
    - Good counter for soldier in a time where we need one
    - Still has the aspect of blocking come into play or using a Shield if brawl updates (blocking reducing damage during the mark will decrease the chunk damage, BUT blocking while the chunk damage is taken will have no effect.)
    - No longer rewarded for hiding/camping
    - The cooldown for being marked by any assassin is put in place so the move cannot be abused by multiple assassins

    How much more damage does the assassin take when using their mark?

    I wasn't too sure probably like 1.5-2x normal damage

    I like the delayed damage, but I don't see why assassin needs to be more vulnerable. It feels like overkill to me.

    I really like some of the ideas and concepts in here. With some small tweaks it's a great rework. +1

    I'm not sure if I'm understanding the "Mark of Assassin" ability. What I got from it was you deal a certain amount of damage in the 3 seconds, and then after that runs out that person gets affected by that same amount of damage. Is that right?

    Yes and when they are affected by the same amount of damage the second time it's as it is as if it's one attack, this means it could still insta kill if your team manages to deal 10 hearts in the 3 seconds but it wouldn't in most cases.

    The Mark concept itself is really good. However, I think that this Assassin's armor needs to be better, because in a game the Assassin would be focusing on just one person, and everyone else (let's say they are defending the flag carrier who got marked by the Assassin) would be focusing on the Assassin, aaand Assassin takes extra damage. Either remove the vulnerability and keep the armor, or increase the armor and keep the vulnerability. Otherwise, great concept.

    I think removing the invulnerablility is the right choice so I did remove it from the post, but on the point of everyone focusing the assassin, that might not be the case all of the time since the mark takes in account all damage not just the damage of the assassin.

    I would like to give assassin another mobility option than speed III while we are reworking it, but I like the mark idea (although blatantly stolen from league xDD)

    That actually slipped my mind but I think something along the lines of getting half of the health that the mark deals would be good.
