Outro I'm fed up with Brawl.

Ok, I don't know how to start this, but I'm going to get right to it.

Over the last year or so, Brawl has been on a steady decline - players have been banned, staff have resigned, a number of controversial things have happened and a lot of things have gone downhill in the community. I have always maintained a positive view of Brawl, despite its many flaws or problems. This was because I believed in Brawl and its staff team. Sure, there have been issues here and there, but nothing has been worse than what has gone down this year. In all honesty - Brawl has been like a one-sided reltionship, where no matter how much I care or show my passion for the community and staff team, I get nothing in return.

This, however, was the last straw.
War 2.0 was promised 3 YEARS AGO. The players who wanted the update and who cared are now in the legal drinking age ffs. I don't think it's acceptable that staff can be very selfish at times, treating fellow staff members as second class citizens, wasting time and even manipulating people, when they should be moderating the servers. Did you know that there are staff members out there who date over Minecraft? What the hell, Brawl??! And staff, how the heck can you be so desperate? You are how old, 14-16? And you are dating people who live so far away, you will probably never see them irl. That's a whole new level of desperate.

Your job is to look after the server and take care of community, not to talk to your e-sweethearts. After all, you volunteered for your staff position, which means that you knew that you would have to deal with little kids and other repetitive things. sure, being staff isn't as fun and it can get repetitive. And not everyone can be staff. And it's not a life-or-death case of being a staff member. But YOU KNEW IT. You knew that you would have to put up with stuff like this. And it's your job to do it. So why in seven heavens are you not doing it, why are you wasting the precious moderation time on talking to your e-sweethearts or doing some other counterproductive activities? Sure, staff members are human, too.

But you have to remember, that the community has it's limits, and they won't put up with this stuff for too long. Especially right now, when a lot of members are going away or leaving due to lack of updates or things to do, you should be the ones who are making sure they don't leave, or try your hardest to prevent them from going away. Sure, Brawl isn't as healthy, but people move on - not many people really want to stay after years of grinding and waiting for updates.

Our two biggest communities - War and WarZ almost never see over 100 players at peak times, because there simply isn't much to do and admiteddly - both of these main game modes (and supposedly, main source of income while we were still violating EULA) are very very outdated. There hasn't been a major Mc-War update since 2013 and WarZ has aged badly. The guns on both of these servers lack balancing, and while many members have been trying to adress these issues, nothing much was done until recently, when we finally got proper War 2.0 development started along with other things. But they are too late to change anything, really. War's community is a shell of it's former self, never really having a full server at it's peak times, while WarZ was heavily hurt by EULA (and lack preperation for it) and the fact that you could never have fun without a donator rank (or a team with said ranks). And I think it's safe to admit that WarZ will never be able to recover. Maybe people have simply moved on? Besides this stuff, I feel like on other servers (even smaller or at the same size), these updates would had been delivered ages ago.

And don't even get me started on the poor quality assurance that the servers have - there are still a lot of minor things that need tweaking, but that have been around for ages. I'm honestly not surprised that both War and WarZ are pretty much dead at this point. Although both of the communities have had ups and downs, this is an all-time low far Brawl itself. Besides these gripes, a lot of things feel clunky and outdated, and we have never been given quite a few servers we were promised - including factions, Sword Art Online MMO, Legends, Nebula and other servers.

In-fact, I have a suggestion and valuable feedback - instead of focusing on 20 servers at once, how about focusing on one server at a time and making sure it works and isn't received negatively?

And besides all of these things, I'm fed up with how higher ups seem to censor the staff members. Not only for speaking their mind openly, but for providing feedback as well. It's not okay to suppress criticism, especially constructive from other staff members. Why are you doing this? And why are you forcing staff members to avoid discussing this stuff that has to be fixed so badly. If anything, both staff and the community should openly be communicating about updates and changes. There should be a way for the community to say ''no" and ''yes'' for certain things. But because this communication is nonexistent, half the time the community feels left out (or left in the dust). Certain staff members seem to focus on censoring or suppressing feedback, when it is absolutely unnecesarry. Perhaps I can repost this outro in a few months.

Goodbye, Brawl. It feels sad that I have to leave this community behind, especially after the stuff that has gone down. I love this community, but I can't stand this bull****.
