    You see, mi amigos, in combination with the lack of interest in Minecraft as a whole which subsequently results in teams becoming inactive as a result of, yknow, inactive members, there's another problem that is either going seemingly un-noticed, or nobody really gives enough of a **** to say anything about it.

    Player hoarding, for lack of a better term.
    Basically one or two teams getting all the really good players (hey there temple tarts) which causes all the other teams to not give them a good match if they so choose to set one up against them. Ironically the teams that do this end up complaining that nobody wants to play them, but that's their own fault for hoarding most of the good players and killing lesser teams.

    I understand that teams wanna be as good as they possibly can so they can be "the #1 CTF team" and 3-0 3-0 everybody but, as I just stated, it causes a very big issue which is helping the team system commit seppuku.

    There isn't really a way to fix this. No team is going to turn down a player because "they're a good player and they don't want to hoard all the good players".

    In my experience players are the bigger problem here. It makes more sense for the best players to join teams with the best players if they want to win. Even if higher end teams weren't going out of there way to "hoard" players. It would still happen naturally unfortunately.

    The thing that's happening though isn't that they just accept good players, they go after the players on other teams that have given another team good competition and taking away the competition.

    Fair enough I suppose, could've written my OP a bit better but team system will die regardless because all good players will end up going to top tier teams leaving us w/ like 2-4 teams lul

    If all good players go to 1 team then no1 is gonna face them because they already know they lost lol

    I wonder what it would be like if the CTF team system was similar to that of MLB - except no money. Maybe through a lottery instead? That would be interesting.

    There's nothing you can really do about that I agree

    I mean you change the system to where there wouldn't be permanent teams or something, but then you couldn't really have any gain from winning other than winning. Not that your team is actually better or something.

    I had an idea where you could have alliances with other teams or something idk, very broad but just a basic idea that hasn't come to a full conclusion yet xDD but I do however think that teams shouldn't be in the same method or process that it is currently. This is coming from someone, who was in, what was considered, a really good team, SE, thinking the system should change to now with TNSE (worst team lul) but idk I'd kinda prefer permanent teams just a different method of forced recruitment or something idk?
