We Need An SMOD For CTF

It's looking a lot like b0s and winter. So bothkf them?

Add a pole of all current ctf Mods at the top of the thread and let the CTF'ers vote which Mod they'd want for Smod.

 

Personally, I would like to see @b0squet as smod, as he, from what I see, is very active (not that the others aren't, it's just he is always there for matches and stuff lel). And I agree that having an smod would help in communicating more and being able to also communicate higher up as well.

Personally I would say @b0squet because he's the most active however, he doesn't reply to people asking questions in chat a lot of the time and I would say SMODs need to be involved with the community. For that reason I would say @Juli3n or @Miskey however, they are both fairly new so @wintergreen3 is probably the best choice even if I haven't seen her for 6 months.

on a less serious note, sure it would be nice having an SMod for CTF, but it seems as if an SMod has to put in a lot more work than a normal mod while the benefits from it might not be worth the effort.

Nohox as an example didn't take the position half a year ago because he felt that he couldn't be active enough iirc.

 

That is one quality a Smod should have. To be able to understand what you need to be able to do, if you take on that kind of position. And I do have to say that Nohox has earned a great deal of respect from me. Because being able to say Yes is easy, but being able to say no takes some serious balls. Respect @Nohox

 

I would suggest b0s if CTF really needed one, but right now it's working fine without an SMod. We are able to run most CTF related things ourselves, and communication with upper staff is good enough. However if we do get an SMod, one should definitely suffice in my opinion.

couldn't we just ask the mods to be more involved with their plans and stuff on the forums?

 

It seems like a majority of mods have different lifestyles with less flexible schedules and more commitments, so it's not easy for them to be as active. That's completely understandable, but imo I think b0s deserves this promotion quite a lot with how much he's done for the gamemode. I've also seen awesome stuff from gamren and Miskey but personally, how long b0s has had moderator, I'd say he should get SMOD. This is not to take away from the amazing things the other mods have done, kudos to all you guys!

 

@b0squet is definitely the person who deserves this, after him @wintergreen3 or @Jul13n

 

But... why? "Because we want one" isn't a reason
