    Almost every time that someone creates a thread for their new team, they put in pending, which you aren't supposed to do. My idea is that we should use the prefixes, so far there's only one: [​IMG]
    If you ask me they should add "Recruiting" as tag, and when a team is ready to be pending, only a mod can change the tag into "Pending". This would probably make it so more people understand how this system works.

    Another idea related to this is giving the team page the same kind of heading as staff applications: [​IMG]
    "Applications, do not ask staff to read your application, you will be denied. If the server that you wish to apply for does not have a prefix option, do not apply for it."
    Ofcourse, this will not be the actual text there will be when going to the team page, there will be something like: "Go to this link for more information about making a team". This will probably make people look at how to make a team before making a team too.

    Good ideas. Or just make it so you have to read the forum section about teams before making a thread.

    I like the first idea a lot more than the second. It's very clear that the second idea (the one with the text at the top of the staff application) does not make people want to actually read the requirements. Most applicants don't read at all and I'm doubting that anyone creating a team (they're probably newer to ctf) wouldn't read either. This is assuming you're only intent upon helping the new players and not vets.

    This makes things less complicated. Adding two more tags (one for 'Recruiting' and another for 'Pending') lessens the likelihood of teams being listed as 'pending' when they have 1 member and the subsequent spam of the 'funny' rating from certain community members.

    Oh lol nvm I now see it's less complicated than I thought. I couldn't figure out what he meant, but now I see. I just read it wrong.

    Yeah like I said, read it wrong at first. I do that a lot lol.

    If both ideas are added you atleast have a higher chance of people reading it then they normally would.

    Take a look at staff apps though. They have both and they still don't read. They even have to go past the thread they're supposed to read before they can make an app.

    I really like the idea. It makes everything so much simpler. +1
    Some people read the thread they're supposed to, and some people don't. Like Daniel said, if you add both there's more of a possibility someone would read the thread.

    I don't think there's anything to make 100% sure everyone reads up on the information they need, but I don't see why both features can't be added to increase the chance of people getting informed
