How To Keep A Good Reputation

So I do realize that I may not be the best candidate to write this post, considering my past is pretty bad in terms of being a dick, but I realize I made those mistakes so I've got a small list here of things that you will get flamed for. Take it from someone who has made the mistake to not do it again.

Trash Talking in All Chat
Don't. It's not worth you're time unless you actually have some skill to show for it. I've screwed myself over saying "oh I'm better than so and so", then after we have an agreed 1v1 I take the dick. You're going to make yourself look stupid. Be friendly about agro people, even better just try to avoid it in general and turn off chat. Some may find that easy, personally I'm a very social child so I found myself turning it back on every game.

Cheating
This realistically should go with out saying, and is basic common sense. But should you decide to cheat, you'll get nowhere, and in fact be put behind where you were in terms of your reputation. A little story here, back in 2013 I joined my first team, and I thought that it was completely ok to use macros in an official match. (sorry crusaders, I never actually apologized for that yet rip) I was caught red handed, earning me the nickname macroboy. Also if you think closet cheating is cool, don't. You'll end up as that one kid caught using velocity with cracked vape.

Being Highly Toxic
We all hate these people. You see in all chat saying things like "kill yourself". I am very toxic, see my punishment history if you need sufficient evidence. It can be embarrassing, but some people may just say things with out even thinking, which is what I tend to do. So just think before you speak, I know you've probably heard that several times, but its true. Also keep in mind for you MCPvP players out there, or people from the pot community as well, this isn't mcpvp or the pot community, ddosing (sadly the key to winning koths now), death threats, and extremely sexual or foul language isn't acceptable on Brawl since this is a server intended for people of a lower age group.

Work With The Community
Being someone who is "in it to win it" is frowned upon quite a bit here. I am very guilty of doing this, but if you're going to criticize something that's broken or annoying in the game, at least attempt provide a few ways/suggestions to fix it. Being a negative **** isn't very helpful, and also being stubborn about how things are done/only wanting things done your way will end you up past the beginning having to correct your reputation from simple things. In fact, working with the community may lead you to having a better reputation since literally nothing get's done here as we all fight on the forums about stupid things. (totally not my past time l u l X D)

Don't Be Someone You Aren't
Stay you're honest self, though it may be beneficial to try and change your personality from being extremely toxic to a more suitable level for this community. Please and I beg you please, do not, and I repeat DO NOT try to act like someone you aren't. One of the biggest things that us CTFers like is the fact that most of may be different, but it still remains the same that we all play (or did at one point) this gamemode. You may not fit into the popular group and end up as someone who is just known as a player who hangs around occasionally, but I promise you, you'll find someone that you can relate too at one point. I've been in the community since mid 2012 or so, but became decently relevant in early 2013. I had several people that I was I would say great friends with at one point, but a little over 3 years ago I met someone who is an amazing friend and can relate to them in several ways.

I hope this was informative, though my writing style isn't the greatest. If there are anything you want to add, feel free to do so. I guarantee that I left out several other things that I covered, and might if I get around to it, add them to the thread.
