Idea Class Idea - Fisherman

    Hey this is a class I have put together called "Fisherman". This is just rough and am open to changes. (also Ive been looking at other class concept threads so some of my ideas may be somewhat similar, unintentional if so. Just say so in comments if I have stolen anyone's ideas)
    Class Name Fisherman
    Role Recovery/Possible for support?
    Cost Free
    Description This classes main mechanic is its fishing rod - which enables it to latch onto players and pull themselves toward the target player. (like a grappling hook). The rod will throw with the power of a snowball/enderpearl/egg so that it has a direct flight path. Although it will have the power of an enderpearl it wont have the same range, the rods range should be shorter like 15 blocks. Also the rod will have a cooldown of 8s. It will also have the "Fish Slice" (idek). This is a stone sword with sharpness I and only gives '50%' kb. it will also have 2 steak and have a chain chestplate and chain boots.

    Slot 1: Fish Slice - sharp1 stone sword
    2: Grappling Rod

    again this is rough and I may have subconsciously nicked other peoples ideas so let me know below ...

    A no KB sword would make it very hard to escape players using this kit, sometimes you can get these things called a 1.7 where you can keep hitting a player without doing much kb but eventually you can get escape. With this it would be very hard to get out of one makes it very op for recovery. The rod would also help to catch up, and with no cool down, this will be very op.

    You need to ask yourself this question: Does CTF need this class? If you can't see CTF functioning as well as it is now without this class, then yes it does. However, if the class could be replaced by one that's better or has more potential, then no. I personally don't think this class would be beneficial for the community. We already have ninja for recoveries and medic for support (albeit any class could technically be a recovery or support class if you're good enough). Maybe if you add some other characteristics that enhance it and truly make it an exceptional class, then I think it'd be good. But for now, I don't see many pros to having Fishermen incorporated.

    I did intent to put a cooldown on the rod however just forgot to add one. I agree with unlimited rod use it would we almost impossible to escape from. I will edit the kb to 1.7 as you said it sounds much more balanced.

    The reason I started coming up with this class is because I think many people agreed that we wanted a free recovery class in ctf as stated on @redslime 's thread the only real kits that are good at recovery are ninja and assassin both are premium. Although, a buffed heavy is good in all situations, without much team co-ordination it is almost impossible to get buffed every time you respawn.

    Pretty sure is impossible to add a 1.7 mechanism when 1.7 isn't a thing on brawl. Maybe it could just give like 50% reduced kb.
