    All I would want, and maybe some elf players, is to make elf be able to shoot through allies, pls. Elf would be more fun and more reliable if you could just hit the enemy when your allied players are surrounding him/her.

    Now for some crappy idea from me, the most horrible explainer in the world :/

    Elf's Shield:
    Why does elf not reflect all projectiles? Mage should not counter elf, elf should counter mage. Mage is beast against most melee classes, -Keeps Heavy's at bay, -Annoys Archer, -Medic distracter, and many more. Elf should be able to reflect the attacks and hurt Mage, I don't get the problem with that before. Mage can easily break the shield with lightning which leave Mage to deal massive damage to elf, or even killing it.

    Pure Element:
    It is alright, just please make it be able to shoot through allies.

    Earth Element:
    It's ok, it's just too supportish, but it is ok.

    Air Element:
    It's awesome :3 AND trolly.

    Water Element:
    It is terrible. It takes as long to charge it as it is when the flames go out on the ally. It is really good as a pyro counter, but nothing else. Give resistance.... -20% damage reduction (Unless modified) for 6 seconds, ehh.
    Make it Regen I and Resistance I for allies and make it Regen II and Resistance II for yourself. (Op?) idk

    One thing I hate is that when I pull of 3-4 or 5 pure shots on an enemy and I kill him-her, they say *What a Spammer*. WHAT THE HECK MAN?! If I dealt 6 hearts to you per shot, that means I held my bow back all the way each time. I get a kill like that like 1 out of 6 games. I am sorry. Please take my ideas and either put them in the trash(Me) or take the pure element idea in consideration.
    I rarely go on brawl forums because of this, I never get to the point.

    (P.S. show class tips when you die from a specific class)

    It'd be very nice if water element would get a small buff with some added potion effect, Resistance II is ridiculous though.
    About the shield, only lightning spell is currently about to hit through the shield, if you are a good elf you should be able to counter most of a mage's attack or avoid it by using wind element and fly

    For the shield, I agree. Right now the only thing that seems to be deflected and actually have an effect on the mage is the freeze spell (and heal, but does that really count?). Fire spell and damage spell just reflect off but do nothing to the mage.

    I'm not sure how possible this is. I don't know the code or anything, but I wouldn't imagine this to be possible (or if it is, how neatly it would translate). I mean if it is possible and works nicely, then yeah, I would like to see this, but I don't think it's possible D:

    As unifier said, only the lightning spell goes pass the shield, everything else is reflected. However, there is another thing I would like to be done with elf's shield (I believe this should be possible). Instead of just reflecting in the direction it was shot from, reflect the projectile to the direction you are facing. This allows more strategy and what not for elf when it's either crowd controlling or supporting. It would be able to control arrows shot from archers to maybe headshot someone trying to recov. Or maybe freeze a pyro about to frenzy someone. Who knows, it would add alot to elf and it's strategies. As of now, only once in a blue moon do you headshot someone by reflecting the arrow, and maybe you'll hit the mage with it's spells, but with control over where you reflect the projectiles, it would add alot to elf.

    I agree that pure element right now is fine where it is.

    The only thing I would add is that it can be quite spammish. That has been in discussions recently in the team scene, since it can easily vastly slow down someone by spamming earth element. If there is a way to balance nerfing earth element so it can be as spammish, but also buff it in another way to make it able to do more stuff, that would be nice.

    Yesh it is awesome and trolly :stuck_out_tongue: Shooting air elements at pyro's is fun.

    Agreed, water element is pretty bad, in almost any scenario (unless you get lucky and able to put out an ally who just got shot by a pyro). The problem I see with giving it regen and resistance is that you can spam water element during stalemates. I mean as of now recovering during stalemates is hard enough with medics healing ability, but add to that basically resistance II and regen II any time someone tries to recover?! This I think is a bit too much of a buff to water element. I think for water element a lighter version like just resistance I might work, as unifier said.

    That'll be interesting to see. I think this should only be happen though if you are a new player (as in <100 games or something). Then it won't spam everyone everytime they die, which could get annoying. And only send it maybe 5 or so times to new players as well (5 times for each class that is: 5 times when you die to archer, etc). Overall it is a neat idea and I think it would do well for newer players to help them understand how to deal with certain classes.

    My ideal version of the class:

    • Give leggings prot 2, give boots feather falling 2, rest is fine.
    • Sword should be nerfed to sharp 1.
    • Fix the shield so all enemy projectiles are reflected and give the contributing effects.
    • Shield should not reflect teammates' projectiles.
    • Pure element is fine imo.
    • Earth should have a stun effect so it can be served better as a crowd control/recovery method, but make it less spammable. (maybe exp recharge? possible damage boost aswell?)
    • Wind element can be toggled to either push or pull players according to where the arrow lands. This also makes the element very useful for crowd control and recovery (possibly needs a cooldown?) Direct hits from the arrow can deal damage while also providing the push/pull effect.
    • Water element would serve as a debuff tool to counter buffed heavies and chemists by temporarily removing their potion effects when directly hit by the element. It will still apply when the arrow lands near the enemy but the duration of the debuff is lowered the farther the arrow is from them. (This would make the element still very situational, so maybe have it provide some buffs to the elf +teammates aswell?)
    • Remove 1 steak. (Debatable)
    This would give elf a more defined role of offensive / crowd control which I feel would suit the class the most.

    So just to briefly to clear things up: Elf's shield doesn't reflect certain projectiles because it's broken. We'll have it fixed as soon as we get a coder working on CTF. Might swing by a bit later and offer some slightly more detailed feedback.

    Elf should get rid of most bows, because they provide terrible dps.

    If DPS is all you want then Mage would have nothing but Damage Spell and Heal Spell. Pyros wouldn'thave bows or flint and steel. Chemists wouldn't have buffs to give, Damage pots or Poison pots. Engineer would just have a turret and a Pickaxe, Necro wouldn't be a necro anymore, and Medic would probably be removed upright.

    Yes, let's remove everything that doesn't do damage and just give everyone swords and armour and tell them to fapture the clag.
    Or a real life scenario, let's give my division only artillery and grenades and send them to the front lines with no food, water or medication to speak of.
