    Favorite Bridge:     When I was younger, there was this small bridge a small walking distance from a creek my brother and I would play in. We had the time of our lives there, whether it be fishing in the small body of water it crossed, using it for the perfect concealment during hide and seek, or just to simply hang out. Things were simpler back then. No worries. No responsibilities. Only a feeling of peace without cares. After 8th grade, we barely hung around there anymore. My brother, a good two years behind me, had begun to participate in his middle school sports teams, enjoying football and cross country. Sitting alone on those decaying decks no longer held the same enchanted feeling as it used to. It was only due time that I would leave it for mother nature's crude reconquest of her territory, taking the bridge into her disgusting maw, tearing up what little of my childhood I had left.

    It was five years later when we decided to look for the small morsels that life had left for us. Half submerged in that creek sat the timeless wood, it's guardrails and decks becoming its own tombstone. Sat down in folding chairs near the waters, we lit cigars and retold our stories to each other and our old friend.

    Hey all, as of right now, open signups are closed. There are still a couple teams with uncertain player situations, so I'm allowing limited signups assuming it goes through their representatives first, but from here on out, please do not reply to the thread if you wish to join the tournament, and instead contact your region's representative directly. Anyhow, without further ado, I have a few announcements to make.

    Firstly, as a result of somewhat unbalanced signups, the province of Ontario has been moved to the Americas - West region. This was done to provide the Americas - West region with a larger player pool, and allow for a higher proportion of the Americas - Northeast team to play.

    Hailing from the main metropolitan center of the Americas and led by their occasionally fearless leader, @kevshadowslayer, the 'Americas - Northeast' team seeks to assert its dominance on the world stage! To achieve this end, they have recruited a diverse and talented roster that happens to be tied for the tournament's largest (at 18 players). Expectations are high for this region, but will they rise to the challenge or collapse like the Midwest's economy?

    In order to combat the menacing presence of the other American regions, an unlikely alliance was forged between the heart of the southern United States and the whole of Brazil. This band of newfound brothers, championed by the malevolent 'CTF God' @ningeek212, must face two transatlantic foes to reach the next round. Their 15 man roster can hang with any team in the tournament, but will they emerge triumphant or vanish into Florida's marshes?

Will they be able to reassert dominion over their former colonies, or are they headed for an early Brexit?

This team faces stiff opposition from America's Southeast and their West European counterparts; will they prevail?

    I'm proud of the direction ctf is going. To think that our community alone has pushed the proud Canadian provence of Ontario far to the Southwest, creating a 51st state for America, my great nation. It brings great tears of American freedom to my eyes, red hot American blood to my heart, and the screeches of thousands of American eagles to my soul.
