But on that note - I think Snail put it pretty well and I can understand it if you have invested time and energy into this kind of project (I know 100% what this is like - I stopped modding for SSV almost 8 months ago but am still in the private groups xd).

Sorry but if you no longer have the free time to do a job due to other things you need to leave that job. You’ve said yourself you feel as if you changed a lot of things for brawl and been a good staff member. If so why would you want to ruin that by becoming inactive and making people dislike you as you then become a burden...

Honestly the staff team is messed up on many levels. They don’t accept active good members of the community who want a change and keep @Blamo who I swear to god literally puts in between 0 and 1 hour in A MONTH. (Real statistic)

If any Mods read this and come under the inactive category, you seriously need to move on as all you are doing is keeping someone else from filling your boots and making brawl successful again. You’re literally killing the server. That’s why I resigned.

Staff reqs are way too high for the player count on the server. Where tf are they expecting these perfect applicants to come from?

I try my best to respond to reports from each server and stay active ingame. That being said, my focus as smod is media and events. There are certain times (streaming hg/reffing a ctf match/hosting an event) where I either have to have staff chat and reports off or cannot leave the server I am on. I know this limits my effectiveness as far as taking care of cheaters goes, but if you shoot me a pm ingame during one of those times I'll often ask another staff member to hop on and have a look.

On the topic of super inactive staff. If you have staff right now and you resign for a good reason, it won't be that hard to get it back if you become active again. You know that. If you're super active in staff chat but not in game, please start making an effort to at least make an appearance every few days. Regular players can't see the work that goes on behind the scenes, and other staff members shouldn't have to be a liason between you and your own community. It's really not that hard to come ingame for a few minutes a day and respond to reports. Hell, just afk in poof on any server that has b.a.c. and respond to autoban notification sounds.

Idk, the biggest thing I can say to regulars that are noticing issues like these is this. Get active, post helpful ideas on the forums, get to know the current staff on your gamemode, and apply. If you care enough about the server, you can get staff. There are players (myself included) that used to be exceedingly toxic, do nothing but cause staff members trouble, etc that are staff now. Ask a staff member what you can improve on, work on it, then post an app!

I've had my personal reasons to be inactive. Yes, I should have resigned, but I'm trying to come back (Not like it justifies my inactivity). But I can assure you that I have my reasons for both being inactive and staying.
