Idea Whitelist Team

Id actually like to see this. During TBF vs Scorch, one of our players got disconnected. We spent quite some time asking for a new player to be whitelisted that distracted from us playing, granted this could have been helped if we had just given our roster to begin with, but whitelisting all members of a team would save time imo. It would make on the fly subbing much more efficient mid game, and it would be easy to use with one simple command prior to the match. I don't know too much about coding, but it shouldn't be asking too much of developers (correct me if I'm wrong and this change is actually really difficult to code) great idea, +1

 

The issue with this is that it's incredibly hard to keep track of rosters 24/7. @Hanatamago_San tried doing this in the past, however many reps would not message her with changes, causing it to fall apart.

 

It would be the rep responsibility to keep their team whitelist update. If it is not update, it their fault when their player not get whitelist (and maybe it take time for mod to whitelist them)

+1 this would be a great idea, and the mods no would need to get flamed for not read a chat message to whitelist someone

 

Definite +1, this sounds like a great idea. Maybe alongside this a new system could be implemented which would stop players joining a team really recently and then playing in officials, where the rep would need to have the whitelist accurate whenever someone joined or left, and then the mods could more easily track any team changing.

Even though I like this, it needs a bigger infrastructure around it which we don't have right now and can't afford the time for

 

What is also an issue are name changes: When a whitelist is set, it needs the exact IGN of a player, it doesn't change it automaticly. Additionally, some teams have members, mercs, seasonal members, special statuses etc., so one command can't handle all of those cases. Sometimes only members play, sometimes the mercs play as well, so it would require a /wl Scorch members and /wl Scorch mercs, not accounting for other member types. It is way easier and time efficient to just get all on a server and do /wl all.

What would make the refs job easier would be a prompt if an IGN does not exist, instead of wl'ing a wrong name. ^^

 

Huge +1, however this is almost impossible as stated by Miskey and Nohox, so I suggest we make it more in that way meaning we fill out the thread with the roster (like we once were supposed to do) and have the mod whitelist anyone on that roster and no one apart from them concerning players.
This could seem unreasonable and you could indeed put your whole team on the roster, as dragoarg hopefully sarcasticallly said, or actually work on more efficiency in the whole team roster thing.
If you're not sure about someone showing up or not, have them listed as a sub so they're still whitelisted and can jump in if they are needed. I'm sure updating threads with the entire roster / pming the ref the full roster would make a major change already, however I must say I do prefer updated threads because that makes analyzing matches easier and predictions more accurate (speaking in terms of the CMS).

+1, the only issue with that is some reps are lazy in updating the exact IGNs, and their current member roster.
