What is your in-game name? -
puhdgy. It has been this for a while now and I don’t plan on changing it.

Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? -
Yes, my account is secured and migrated. My Minecraft password isn’t the same as any other password I have for other accounts anywhere. I used to share my account with friends I really trusted and was on the same CTF team as(I know it isn’t allowed otherwise). For months no one else has access to my account besides me and I plan on keeping it that way.

How old are you? -
I turned 19 this past February.

What time zone are you in? -

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? -
Unfortunately, I can only speak English but I’ve got quite a lot of friends who are fluent in different languages(French, Spanish, German, Urdu, etc) and they have been able to help me with translating things before. I have access to the ever so helpful Google as well, which of course can help me with translating anything.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? -
Well, I started playing MCPVP in April of 2013, and if I had to call any single thing ‘my childhood’, it would be CTF(even though I was a teen and not a child shh). Then, when Brawl bought MCPVP, I just followed the gamemode because of the community and because I still found it fun playing with the friends I made here. I’ve been apart of the team scene since late 2013. Additionally, over the past 4 years, I have been on quite a few teams, some being Genetic, The Elites, Radiance Reborn, and currently The Crusaders! I know and am friendly with a large number of people given how long I’ve been playing and how much of a life I had from 2013-2016(I barely left the house). I would say my game knowledge is pretty high and even though I’m not a great PVPer or anything, I’m competent at playing the game. I’ve enjoyed CTF for so long due to how unique it is with the element of not needing PVP ability to be useful.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? -
I am sad to say that I have not ever had a moderator rank. However, I have quite a lot of friends as moderators(or higher), and being around them lets me witness all the things they do. I believe having these friends would also make it really helpful learning the ropes of moderating. I hate giving this answer because I feel very inexperienced and somewhat insecure about it, but I suppose everyone starts somewhere.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? -
I love helping people and I am also passionate about seeing this server get more attention. In the past, when I made close friends on Hypixel or sometimes other servers, I’d invite them to try CTF. I have wanted more people to play CTF for ages now, so whenever I notice someone in chat asking about anything, I would message them attempting to explain what they’re confused about or answer questions they have in hopes they will stick around. I remember my first week playing CTF, I know CTF can be confusing at first, but if you have someone to help you learn it and get to know people I think it is such a unique and wonderful place. I believe if CTF’s playerbase was bigger, we would get more teams, and I’d say that would be a lot of fun as well as benefiting Brawl. I am aware that recently some of the regulars can get bored with PPMs/CTF events being the same people signing up and playing every time, I am confident more people playing CTF would make the game interesting for them again. Giving my opinion on CTF related things and proposing ideas to CTF are also things I will always be open to doing unless it has been said before. I have made my own threads for events(i.e. here & here), made a thread dedicated to possible additions to CTF(here), and a CTF Map Survey that was designed to help reworkers get an idea of what the community wants to see(here). I've also tried having some contribution to CTF maps by trying my hardest to rework/reskin a few. (Metro Rework, Skyworlds Rework, Platforms Rework, Opposites Collide Rework, Giant Presents).

Have you ever used a hacked client before? -
No, I have not. As I said before, having a few close moderator pals, they have taught me a lot about hacks and how to recognize certain ones. Since knowing them, my general understanding and knowledge of hacks has improved quite a lot. I also believe being a JMod will also help with learning even more about hacks, so I’m excited for the possible opportunity.

Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? -
I got warned on the match server for minor racism about 7 months ago. I do know that as a moderator these things are not tolerated and it wouldn’t happen again. I can explain the situation in greater detail if anyone requests I do.

What do you consider your greatest strength? -
Generally, I think one of my strengths is being very community oriented. For example, with maps I’ve made, events/PPMs I hosted/helped organized, etc I’ve always taken other people's opinions into consideration. I don’t put my opinion higher than theirs, I actually put it lower most of the time. The enjoyment and well-being of the community I love so much is on my mind more than anything else when I make PPM teams, when I make CTF reworks, when I make events and rules/limits for it, whenever I do a lot of things CTF related. So yes, I love seeing this community happy and thriving, but I also know when people do things wrong/do not follow the rules there are consequences.

If I did get far with this application, strengths in what I’d be able to do would be:

• Listening to the community and bringing up good suggestions/ideas I've seen floating around the forums or talked about amongst friends. I would love to do all of that while also sharing my own opinions and giving feedback when I feel I have something to offer.
• Setting up my own events/PPMs and helping others do so when I can offer it. I am a huge people pleaser and that is my motivation to do many things that I do in my daily life. Whenever I make decisions, the opinions of the people I know it will impact are important and I don’t feel comfortable going forward with a lot of things without getting feedback.
• Being open-minded towards controversial things. I’ve befriended people who have been considered ‘toxic’, because I know there is more than one side to a story. I also know that people mature and people grow up. I’m not afraid of giving people chances when they’ve proven they are deserving of one and there has been a good amount of time in between their past actions and their present self. I consider this a strength because it is something I find a lot of people are not able to do, but being judged on the past is something I went through myself, so I know how it can feel. Frankly, it can feel hopeless. I am pretty sure my reputation on CTF years ago was not very respectable, but I’ve grown up and realized mistakes I’ve made and who I really want to be. Some people do not actually believe others change, but I find it pretty obvious that everyone changes(especially in teenage years where your mind is not yet fully developed). I do not think this makes me naïve, seeing as I only give people second chances under certain circumstances.
• Recording cheaters. I recently figured out how to record my screen and know how to upload videos, so recording people won’t really be an issue. I am also looking into and figuring out how to edit videos.
• Help people who ask questions about the game or the forums as well as being active on the forums(I visit the forums around 4 times per day). When I don't comment on ideas/maps, it's often because what I would say has already been said, so I believe liking that person's post is just as efficient.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? -
Due to having multiple mental illnesses(if it is asked of me I can go into more detail on this), my mood and anxiety levels can be a bit bumpy. I am happy to say I’ve been getting better at having steady self-esteem and controlling my anxiety. I do still lack self-confidence in some areas and am also a sensitive person, so when judgment is worded badly I can get insecure or sometimes defensive. If people are giving feedback to ideas or opinions of mine, that critique is taken fine and I have no problem addressing them. But when people word their judgment badly about things I’m insecure about, I can get pretty sad. While this is a weakness of mine, there aren’t horrible repercussions. Whenever anyone genuinely makes me feel bad, I do not flame them or get angry, I will simply get sad if I agree with them. If it is something negative about me that I disagree with I can sometimes be defensive, but a majority of the time I just ignore it. When I say defensive, what I mean is me just trying to make them understand what I’m saying or me defending my actions without being aggressive, as I'm not really an aggressive person. I am pretty confident in my opinions, decisions, kindness, and plenty of things.. the main thing I’m not confident in is my ability to do well at some specific things.

Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? -
Capture The Flag by far. Additionally, I do spend a good amount of time on MCBuild, but that time on Build is mostly dedicated to CTF projects. Most days, I am able to spend 1-6 hours a day on Minecraft. It will differ depending on workload and my plans, but my schedule is very flexible at this point in my life.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? -
This is the first one.

Do you have Discord? -
Along with having Discord, I usually have access to it at all times, so I’m able to respond to messages, tags, and group chats fast. The times I am not able to respond is when I’m in classes or with family, but a majority of the time I am there. My Discord is ˗ˏˋpudgyˊˎ˗#4957 if anyone would like to give me feedback privately.

Anything else you would like to state? -
I was(and still kinda am) terrified to post this application. There are 3 main things getting me to post it:
1) My friends believe in me and I love them so much because whenever I doubt myself they give me good feedback or reaffirm things I do. A lot of my friends have been wanting me to do this and have been supporting me with this application. Without them, I don’t know if I would’ve been pushed to do this, even though I have wanted to for a while.
2) I believe that gaining exposure to more criticism can help me be less afraid of it. I am aware that moderators get a lot of criticism, whether it be on bans, ideas, personal opinions, anything really. I know putting my ideas and opinions out there more will put me in a more vulnerable position. But I think this can help me grow and I would appreciate any experience I get from the position.
3) I love this community a lot and have been loyal to it for a long time now. If there is any way I can help make this community happy, it will make me happy. I also love the idea of helping the community grow and helping the game improve.
