Idea HorseMaster - new kit idea

    This kit idea for a kit where the player would have a horse iron gear and the player would have iron gear and sword also. i am thinking of giving only 2 steaks.

    i am also thinking of maybe speed I or II

    - Good for quick running back with the enemy flag (quick caps)
    - low steak amount to counter this ^ advantage
    - also high visibility to again counter the advantage of a quick cap

    The disadvantages can counter the advantages making it a perfect all round kit
    I am hoping to start a discussion on this new idea

    tbh, it sounds like a tankier soldier that can run sightly faster without its wall-climbing ability. definitely needs it's armor toned down

    i think then maybe chain or

    maybe adding leather and changing to KB 1 iron sword?

    Ok, cool idea. Just a few things that may be a problem: do sponges work for the horse? Do headshots count? How about assassinations on the horse (it can’t block but you can)? Does pyro frenzy have the same effect? Will you still suffocate when going through two high hallways/openings? Does the horse take fall damage? When a horse dies, what happens? Do potion effects work on the horse(like damage, poison, regeneration, etc)? Can the horse fit through 1x1 holes? How about mage spells such as the ice spell? Does that create a 2x1x1 space or a space big enough for you and your horse? Are successive elf pure element shots on your horse transferable to the horse master? Do necro zombies target horses? Does engineer turret target the horse? Does medic/engi cake/mage Heal spell regen work on the horse?

    There are quite a few things to fix if you wanted to add a horse into the game, but it sounds like fun class.

    On Night Raid if you abused your mod powers you could release the horses and run around with them - I'd go Mage and use heal spell to keep the horse alive, and run around shooting people with damage spell.

    A few things to consider:
    • Low horse armor makes it useless for capping
    • High armor makes it OP for capping
    • Passing the flag to someone on horseback would be kind of OP
    • Horses get completely stuck in water, to the point that they're unusable
    • Horses aren't affected by sponges (@Claod)
    • Certain maps would be completely useless for horses (e.g. Beaver Creek)
    If it were to happen, I'd make it a roaming, low-armor recovery/support class, where the horse and player act as one entity. Realistically I think there's too many hurdles to make it work, but it would definitely be a lot of fun.

    i think that zombies, turrets etc would target player. while players can target the horses if they want to, assassins would work, but like normal i think u can block sword to counter them. jump pads normal,. other kits with heal would work on both the horse and the player. Pyro would also still be the same.

    these are just some of beginning ideas i have thought of i think developers/mods might want to make changes based on experience
