    Since it hasn't been mentioned yet I want to give a big shout out to the Build Team for their work on this beautiful map. The project was huge, it took a crazy long time and outlasted a number of members, but it wouldn't have happened without them. Good job to everyone involved!

    You’re failing to realize the rugged, wild feel that Wild West had that made it separate from WarZ ASIDE FROM game mechanics. That made it separate from most gun survival servers in fact.

    You totally ignored anything that I stated lmao

    At least y'all found a use for the city hall building I made for Roke like two years ago. I saw the pic it on Twitter and was like "wait, that looks really familiar... OHH LOL"

    I understand you guys want to keep your combo'ing but it would never go with Wild West. Staff would have to choose between combo'ing, quick healing, and aim (to determine who wins), or stealth, strategy, planning, and patience (to determine who wins). They chose Wild West. If combo'ing was on this new game mode we would have to remove pots and replace them with something more like WarZ food. Then along with that we'd have to get rid of Wild West Guns (because T-G, Carc, Sawed, Blunder, Model combo would be too O.P.) Or we can keep the strategy, patience, and planning in the game rather than the straight up aiming battle. Also, WarZ has shown that their players can adapt to Wild West, a lot of the Wild West players now used to be WarZ players. Wild West hasn't shown that, Wild West never was able to adapt to the other game mode so I'm guessing the staff thought it would have more players if the Wild West players didn't quit, and some of the WarZ players didn't, rather than all of the Wild West players quit, and all the WarZ players don't.

    maybe you have really bad reading comprehension skills, but you said “Whereas Wild West is losing the uniqueness that many of the Wild West community enjoyed and wanted more of? ”

    this can be clearly interpreted as an attempt to marginalize the loss of warz by comparing it to wildwest when the loss of the “feel” of a gamemode is far from losing the entirety of the gamemode as warz depended on combos and instaheal food

    i'm not trying to be toxic or be a douche or anything, but what tdaddy is saying is:

    WarZ is basically Gun Combos and Instant Healing

    that's what made the gamemode what it is, that's what people play for and that's what made WarZ so unique compared to some other gamemodes.

    tdaddy is saying that we're losing our whole gamemode because the two core elements of WarZ are being removed while 75% (or so) of the Wild West elements are being kept

    of course there's other things that made WarZ what it is, (bones, bandages, boost pads, grapples, etc.) but it's just the fact that everyone that played and/ or still plays, plays for the fights that there are, the fast paced fights, the "anything could happen at the blink of an eye" feeling, y'know?

    everyone from Wild West is used to this combat mechanic, the economy, the transporation (and something that was extremely different from WarZ, of course, the community)

    i'm not saying we're losing everything and you guys aren't losing anything, of course both sides are losing something, but the WarZ community is used to the WarZ elements, and they are getting removed without anything even close to it.

    that's my argument, bye now

    WE ARE LOSING THE CORE GAMEPLAY MECHANICS OF AN ENTIRE GAMEMODE (made in 2012)

    YOU ARE LOSING THE “FEEL” AND RECEIVING SLIGHT CHANGES TO YOUR GAMEMODE (made in 2015)

    I'm heavily against this merge, and have been talking about it a fair bit on discord. Tbh, I never really played either gamemode much, but they each had their own mechanics and themes that made them appealing / unique. Both gamemodes are losing a lot here, and it's really a shame to see them both go, especially when warz has been around, and in my mind, a key feature of brawl for a long time now.

    My argument is mainly summarized by what I said in this image below, and I added socools response to it just because...

    those core elements gathered a larger player base than wildwest ever did. sure recently the player base has been absolute garbage but not because of the 'core elements' but because staff 100% gave up on it and supplied it with no updates whatsoever, no help, nothing. then out of the blue we're told a "big update coming out warz revival hoorah" is going to take place. this thread is made, and yeah this isn't a warz revival thread it's a warz removal thread sorry. I am personally excited to try this out but not because of warz but because it's a completely revamped wildwest which I personally enjoyed from time to time.

    this is not warz. you took wildwest and added zombies. you took wildwest and added a smaller map. added a few new weapons.

    you took warz and removed combos which was a HUGE mistake considering that's one of the most important and fun parts of the server in general. you took warz and removed the health and food system. you took warz and removed the map.

    if you want to make this thread don't bother calling it a warz and wildwest merge because that's not what it is, it's wildwest 2.0. tom literally said warz's core elements were removed because they don't have benefits for keeping them. that's the exact same as saying they removed warz because wildwest didn't benefit from keeping it. NotCool21

    I understand many people have worked hard on this and it sounds cool but I don't understand the point in replacing warz with a server that has little to nothing in common with it. either add back the core elements of WarZ into wildwest like 0racle suggested or call it a revamp of wildwest. there's no in between

    The WarZ community is the priority when this comes out just look forward to updates leaning towards you guys as your pleas have been heard by Jay and me. When the Game mode comes out, get a feel for it, see if the combat is better or not, then write constructive criticism and ideas and you'll be heard.

    How so? I've made it clear this is happening no matter what we say about it. All I can do now for you guys is put your frustrations and concerns towards future updates, for all you know this new combat sucks and worst comes to shove, we go back. Until we grasp it with you guys we can't say for sure, so I feel as you gotta be patient here. I'm on y'alls side

    This is absolutely exactly what I've been saying non-stop in staff chat ever since the idea of calling the new gamemode "WarZ" was brought up. You don't seem to release I have had almost no influence on the gamemode and my many attempts of changing how this gamemode was marketed have been ignored. There's a thread in staff forums which I wrote announcing the closure of WarZ and Wild West, announcing a new gamemode which was not advertised as WarZ 2.0 or Wild West 2.0, but an entirely new gamemode loosely based off the 2.

    Stop assuming things, it's why I don't take you seriously. No matter how good your argument is, it is 100% pointless to make it because you are not aiming it at the right person.
