Its been a while since I posted my last well-received class idea, the Warlock, and I've been giving two different class ideas some serious thought since I posted that idea a number of months ago. While offensive support and offensive tank are not the most requested class types should a new class be added to CTF, I believe that an addition into these roles within CTF would provide a much needed shakeup within the meta and allow for more creative tactics to be designed and implemented into general and competitive play. I'll be posting the second offensive support class shortly, as I believe it still needs a little more work, but without further ado, I present to you the offensive tank class, the Druid.

    Name: Druid
    Command: /Druid

    Free/Premium: Premium
Intended Niche: When on defense in the flag room, there are a number of classes that are often found guarding the flag, such as pyros, ninjas, heavies, and other classes that make the final line of defense to the flag as difficult to breach as possible, but all pale in comparison to the defensive prowess of the dwarf. Where the dwarf is the anchor of the defensive line to the flag, the druid is the anchor to the offence. Heavies are currently only reliable damage sponges for frontline assaults on the flag, and while their lethality and heartiness provides an important target for the defense their lack of special abilities prevents them from quickly escaping with the flag or successfully peeling for the soldier stealing the flag. Druid provides the offence with another option for this anchor position that, while it has lower defense, can be considerably more durable and provide the much needed peel for the capper.

Intended Role: Offensive Tank, Offensive Support
Possible Roles: Capping, Defense, Defensive Support, Offence

Class Description: At one with nature, the Druid calls on the mystic powers of the earth and life itself to aid it in the battle for the flag. Where dwarves and heavies rely on armor and powerful swords to absorb damage and to dish out healthy doses of punishment to the opposition, the druid relies on its shape-shifting ability for its strength and durability. Is your team preparing to charge into the enemy flag room? Transform into the deadly polar bear and send the enemy team scattering. Did your soldier escape the flag room, but needs help evading the enemy ninja? Transform into a horse and lead your team to victory. Want to give that pesky tower archer the scare of a lifetime? Transform into a spider and introduce him to your wall climbing abilities and poison fangs. The possibilities are endless when the power of the wild is on your side.

    Armor:
    Head:
    Chest:
    Legs: Leather Leggings, dyed black
    Feet:

    Hotbar:
Slot 1: Druid Staff x1 - Stick enchanted w/ knockback III
    Slot 2: Bestial Ability - Spider's Eye
Slot 3: Polar Bear Form - Polar Bear Spawn Egg
Slot 4: Horse Form - Horse Spawn Egg
Slot 5: Spider Form - Cave Spider Spawn Egg
Slot 6: Chicken Form - Chicken Spawn Egg
Slot 7: Ender Dragon Form - Enderdragon Egg
    Slot 8: Class Selector
    Slot 9: Compass - OP, Nerf Pl0x

    Item Descriptions:

Polar Bear Form: The druid transforms into the deadly polar bear, gaining an bonus health increase as well as damage resistance. While in bear form, the druid's maximum restorable health increases to 40 hearts, and the druid gains resistance I. While in this form, the druid is also immune to assassinations and headshots, which both deal 10 hearts of true damage, and cannot be knocked back. While in polar bear form, the druid gains access to the Terrifying Roar ability. By activating the bestial ability in polar bear form, the druid lets out a terrifying roar. All enemies within a 7 block radius of the druid are knocked into the air and away from the druid, as if affected by a single angled sponge. This ability has a 15 second cooldown. While in polar bear form, the druid cannot pick up the flag.

Horse Form: The druid transforms into a fast and agile horse, allowing teammates to quickly escape with the flag. While in horse form, the druid gains speed I and jump boost I, and provides the same bonuses to all allies within 5 blocks. While in horse form, the druids maximum restorable health increases to 20 hearts. While in horse form, the druid gains access to the Cavalry ability. By activating the bestial ability in horse form, the druid picks one player that they are looking at to place them on their back. If the player does not have the flag, the ability lasts for 10 seconds. If the selected player has the flag, the ability lasts for 3 seconds. If the selected player receives the flag while mounted, the ability ends after 1 additional second has passed. Once the Cavalry ability has been used, the druid reverts to normal form and cannot reenter horse form again for 20 seconds. This reversion is considered a manual reversion. While in horse form, the druid cannot pick up the flag.

Spider Form: The druid transforms into a small and deadly cave spider, gaining a spiders natural wall climbing ability and agility. While in spider form, the druid gains speed II and can climb up walls, but has its health reduced to 5 hearts. While in spider form, attacking with the Bestial Ability deals 2 hearts true damage and applies poison II for 5 seconds. The poison does not stack.

Chicken Form: The druid transforms into a small and harmless chicken in an attempt to save face, escape, or prevent fall damage. While in chicken form, the druid will float harmlessly to the ground like normal chickens, and has resistance II but has its health reduced to 3 hearts. Activating the Bestial Ability in chicken form activates the Decoy ability, which immediately spawns 11 other decoy chickens within 2 blocks of you to help you escape. This ability has a 5 second cooldown.

Enderdragon Form: The druid transforms into the essence of the deadly enderdragon and spews its mighty dragonfire at its foes. While in enderdragon form, your head slot is filled by the enderdragon head and you gain resistance I. The druids health remains at 10 in this form. By activating and holding the Bestial Ability while in enderdragon form, you begin breathing enderdragon fire in a 3 block cone in front of you. The cone deals 0.5 hearts true damage every second tick, and applies 1 stack of wither to all enemies every 5 ticks, maxing out at 3 stacks on any enemy. The ability lasts for as long as it is held, and has a cooldown of 1 second when stopped.

    Class Specifics:
Instead of using steak to regain health, a druid relies on the power of nature to cure their wounds. When in their normal form, druids have passive regeneration II, and passive regeneration I in every other form.

The druid can choose to revert to their normal form at any time by activating the form of the same animal that they are currently in. If the druid manually reverts forms, they have a 2 second cooldown before they can change forms again. A druid can also revert forms if they lose all hit points in their animal form. If the druid is reverted to human form by taking damage, the druid has a 10 second cooldown before they can change forms again.

    Changelog:
    10/20/18: Class Posted

Thanks for taking time to read through this class idea. If you have a suggestion for damage numbers or changes to cooldowns/timings of abilities, please feel free to post them as well as other constructive comments and criticisms below.

This is an unique idea, with a ton of potential. Honestly it's hard to fault this idea. The only concerns I could see being brought up would be: is this possible to code, and having a ton of people play this class would be cancer. However a large amount of players playing any class is cancer. It's a fun idea, and it really goes with what makes ctf so interesting: the unique abilities to each class.

If the community doesn't want a new class to be added, this could also be used as the foundation for a necro rework, but I'd rather it be its own thing. Great job as usual, +1

Cool idea but one minor issue. Polar bears/polar bear spawn eggs were introduced in 1.10 I believe. so unless brawl were to update to only support 1.10+, you would need to substitute the spawn egg for a 1.8 friendly block

Lot's of potential but it's really complicated. Maybe try slimming down the number of forms a little?

u can totally make a polar bear out of 2 blocks with a lot of custom heads

it's definitely a LOT, but for how cool for even just changing ur own form (in ur own/2nd/3rd POV) it would get players to eventually learn each form's specifics skills/abilities, big +1

also, to prevent lag from 50 enderdragons in the sky for the entire game, maybe players should only be able to stay in beast form for a specific amount of time - nothing too short to ruin the fun, but maybe like a max of 10 seconds shown as xp in the mana bar and it slowly recharges when ur not in any beast form (tbh there shouldnt be a cooldown switching b/w any form but there could just be a 3 second or so transformation time to discourage spam but still able to be done on the spot)

details can always get ironed out :stuck_out_tongue:
