    Really liked this idea so I spent around 2 hours making a mock up version with cmd blocks for a visualization of how it could function.
    Sorry for the terrible framerate in parts OBS struggles a lot when 2 games are open. Re-recorded it and this was the best one.


    Swapper can tag enemy players and can swap places with them in a 15 block radius. When a player is tagged, both the enemy player and swapper emit small amounts of firework particles at the feet indicating that they've been tagged. If the enemy player leaves the range of the swapper, your connection will be lost and will have to re-tag them.
    When right clicking the swap ability, the tagged player and the swapper will switch places instantly. I used the snowball to reference HG (you're welcome @xGhale) but it can be anything really. It will have a cooldown of 3 seconds after each swap.

    The line you see in the video will only be seen by the swapper when they have tagged a player. The colors indicate how far the tagged player is relative to the swapper. Green = near, Yellow = further, red = far / about to break free. Colors appear at 1 - 9 - 14 relative to the swapper.

    Was debating if this ability could be used on teammates but assumed it would be used more for trolling than for actual gameplay. If this was implemented it'd be pretty funny to have a swapper rush into a defense and a lvl 10 dwarf pops in instead. Of course, the 15 radius limit would still apply.

    I'm not really going to comment on the chemist changes, because I don't play chemist often enough, but with the new classes I'm gonna have to say no. Most of the reasons why have been mentioned above, and I'd like to see the committee use an idea that comes out of the community instead of making their own. No offense, I'm sure you guys have great ideas, but it's like the community tells you what they want, and has decent, sometimes great support behind a new class idea (which is really rare) and it seems to go unnoticed. Don't get me wrong, I do really want a new class in the game, just these two might not be the right choices :grinning: . Appreciate the ideas though

    You're just making it into a more useful heavy. It's already hard to kill a chemist if you know how to play it correctly and if they're trying to cap, a ninja without a doubt will not be able to catch up and successfully kill it. Even more when they have regen and believe me, regen makes a huge impact at its current state.

    My opinion, remove speed so all classes have a chance to kill it if it's running away, then maybe I won't mind your proposal. Maybe.

    I like the chemist changes, but I feel they would have to be tested and maybe tweaked if it becomes too OP; we don't want a 1 chemist cap limit in matches again... it might be a good idea to give chemist another jump pot too because they run out quickly.
    and i still feel damage pots take away too much mana - rightfully so, spam is annoying - but maybe the health mana decrease will help that... if it doesn't maybe look into decreasing damage mana a bit too

    i like the wraith idea, and fully support the new class, but feel that its set of abilities will run out quickly, which brings me to the suggestion of adding the swapper ability to the wraith as well. it already has the mark and teleport function, and i feel the swap ability would also work well with the class and open things up a bit, as well as give it another ability to make it more useful and fun - instead of having to make another separate class just for that swapper ability.
    also, no shotgun, but particle beam - thanks.

    another idea, it might be cool for the wraith's mark and teleport function to stop wallclimb (because nothing in this game really stops wall spam at the moment), but that's just an idea of mine and i did not really think about repercussions much.

    i like all of it, with chemist tho, maybe just add prot to some armor like @Flazhinq said or just make health pots take no mana @BrandinoB big +1 for that tbh ... anything that fundamentally makes playing a class annoying should not be a part of the class, but nerfs doing so is something we've seen with changes made post-MCPVP

    or maybe give chemist an extra row or so of health points with the pot and mana change suggested - so in the case where a chemist cant pot x5 a second when fighting multiple ninjas or a pyro, there'd more likely be some remaining health left – but when this extra row runs out, chemist would be back to the default suggestion (until s/he repots) instead of possibly increasing resistance level or giving it protection which would be a bit more permanently lasting buff

    otherwise, doing this pot change could be a nerf when fighting multiple ninjas or a pyro (or any super high damage per second) – itd be something to test

    but ye, buffing chemist slightly would be nice

    Yes to Chemist, partially. I agree with everything except for changing the Health Pots to a potency of II (but 10 pots). This is a bad idea because Chemist's health pool becomes too big and Chemist has a need to use health potions far too often.

    Probably branching a little bit off topic, but...
    Spades bring up a good point here that I think would be easily implemented. Quite recently a large amount of class ideas have graced the forums, so I figure that CTF Staff/Committee could compile a short list of these ideas, as well as their own, focusing on those ideas that are viable to the game and probable to implement, and then allow the community to vote for which class they would like to see added to the game. It's a simple yet effective way to keep community involvement high whilst continuing to develop the game. Just an idea that I thought I'd spew onto this thread. :grinning:

    I would appreciate it more if you will make Engineer, Dwarf and Necro great again, they’re quite useless at the moment
