Idea Siphon Class (Revert! Jk)

    Hello, I thought of this idea that originally is based off of Fortnite's siphon mechanics. Everything can be tweaked depending how overpowered, underpowered, too long/too short of a delay a specific mechanic is, and etc. Feel free to leave your opinions. Anyways, here's my Siphon class idea.


    SIPHON


    Armor
    •Leather Helmet (dark purple)
    •Chainmail Chestplate
    •Leather Leggings (dark purple)
    •Leather Boots (dark purple)

    Weapons
    •Wooden Sword (sharpness 1)

    Heals
    •3 Steaks (max)

    Abilities
    •[Siphoning]•
    -One kill grants full hp +1 steak
    (cooldown of 10 seconds per kill)


    •[Buff Draining]•
    -When fighting someone with buffs, you're able to "drain" their effects and use them yourself.

    Example: An enemy has strength and speed for 2 minutes. Once you've attacked them, you'll split their buffs equally for yourself and them. So you'll also get strength and speed but for 1 minute and they get their buff's timer cut in half to 1 minute also.

    -Player that was "drained" can no longer be "drained" by anyone else for 1 minute or until they respawn/die.

    -Player that used "Buff Draining" can no longer use it again for 2 minutes or until they respawn/die. (Buffs can not stack on top of each other, so if you already have buffs, you can not use "Buff Draining" until they run out.)


    •[Shadow Mode]• (Bone Meal)
    -Right click to use. Max of 1. Replenish speed the same as assassin's assassinate. "Shadow Mode" changes effect depending if you have the flag or not.


    [Without Flag]: When you right click, you'll go into "Shadow Mode" just like how ninja is seen when they use their redstone, but the enemy team is able to see your outline as well. Once in this mode, you won't be able to be hit nor you'll be able to hit back. Lasts for 3 seconds. Can't pick up the flag in this mode. Flag distance restriction is required.

    -"Siphoning" timer is paused during "Shadow Mode". Will continue after going back to human form.
    -Medic's Healing timer will also be paused in this mode.

    [With Flag + Shadow Mode]: "Shadow Mode will act differently when you use it while having the flag. Once you use "Shadow Mode", all enemies around a 4 block radius of yourself will get a levitation effect for 2 seconds. They can not move, but can look around, attack, etc. during this effect.


    Physics of the Siphon Class
    •New Combat Mode enabled for Siphon (aka similar to faction server's combat mode)

    •Medic can only heal normally when you're out of Combat Mode or when you have the flag.
    [Active Combat Mode]: can only give regen, no steak
    [Inactive Combat Mode or With Flag]: can heal normally


    •Combat Timer lasts 5 seconds after having damage dealt or received

    •A one time alert will pop up in chat when a medic is trying to heal you saying "Combat Mode still active for (3) (2) or (1) seconds". The one time alert will prevent a medic from spamming your chat by repeatedly trying to heal you. Once combat mode is inactive, an ingame alert in chat will show saying "Combat Mode is inactive". The words "active" and "inactive" in chat will display as green and red text to see more clearly.

    I'm very suprised how you can get an idea off a bad game and try to make it into a good idea.

    However, i personally dislike this class because it seems a bit annoying and because i have no life. This class seems overall weak because it basically has pyro armor and elf sword. The siphoning ability is not very useful because the class deals little damage overall and you can probably improve it by granting it hp for a certain amount of damage dealt to an enemy.
    The buff draining effect just reminds me of a parasite and so i don't like it because i'm scared of parasites and also this idea makes me feel like this class was made to counter chemist.
    I'm pretty fine with the shadow mode without flag, you should just clarify what attacks can hit this class and also you should make this shadow mode effect last for ten seconds.
    I don't really like the shadow mode with flag though, this seems a bit overpowered towards defensive classes without any form of ranged attack like assassin and dwarf.

    Overall, i just dislike the class because it seems a bit annoying and just a parasite that can't really do much in midfield or defense. I'm not trying to purposely criticise the class by listing what makes it underpowered and useless, i just have no life.

    I wish you well on your journey in this meaningless life of ours.

    One major problem with this.... CTF is a 1.8 gamemode and most of these effects are 1.9+

    Pretty sure you can just adjust the status effects mechanics on the server and change it from 1.8 to 1.9. This would solve most of these issues.

    Another way would to be to just remove the levitation effect altogether and to simply freeze the target in place for the same duration of time. This effect would basically have the same feeling as elf pure element and banhammer ban (i've been banned multiple times so i know how it feels like to have the banhammer kiss you).
