This previous Free Friday, I was playing around with Mage and noticed something kind of annoying with the class.

At the moment, you have to switch to a wand to see how long of a cooldown is left on it, as you only have one XP Bar. This system honestly just feels kind of clunky to me.

My proposal is that the durability bars of the Hoes be used to indicate spell cooldown as well. I have no problem with the XP Bar indicating your current spell's cooldown, I just wish that there was a way to see the cooldown on say, your heal spell, without having to swap to it.

This would just be a small Quality of Life Improvement for Mage, and I feel like it would make the class's lengthy cooldowns just the slightest bit easier to deal with.

What do you mean lengthy cool downs? The damage spell has little to no cool down, so you can just keep spamming players with that until your others spell have recharged. Regarding your idea, I don’t think it is that bad. Durability bars sound like a better shout than chat messages for example.

    I like this idea.

This would not make a huge difference to what we have now, but as you said, it is mean to be a small QoL change to the class, and I think it is a good one. However, considering I rarely play the Mage class, I would like to hear what players who main the class would think about a change like this.

Assuming it is possible to implement, I am all for it, +1

This is more meant for everything other than Damage Spell.

I'm pretty sure it's possible. Thanks for the support!

This would be a nice change. It probably wouldn't be super helpful to players who play the class a lot, as you start to get a good feel for how to rotate spells/ when your heal will be ready, but it is nice for players starting out.

Will also be helpful for those who play engineer and want to see how long the have left for the grenade launcher if it is implemented.

The amount of new mages I see who don't know the cool downs.... far too much. So bc of that I think this would be a rlly good quality of life change– not necessary, but helpful. So sure why not?
