Well then, all things eventually come to an end. And so does my story on Brawl here.

Recently I've struggled to find the motivation to do stuff regarding Brawl usually I would be excited to host events, manage KitPVP and overall saw in-front of my eyes how Brawl would grow into this huge server I would proudly (no pun intended reee) call myself a senior moderator on.

But like I said this motivation went down heavily after the Summer break was over. Like everyone knows, the player count hasn't significantly grown which I didn't at the time see as a huge problem, I would just keep trying and trying to get that one YouTuber to do a video on our server, or in any way to improve our server. But lately I've started to realize that this is probably not the best thing to do for someone that failed their exams last year and has a last chance to actually finish this school year and go study.
I've started realizing that even IF Brawl would grow again (coming back to that later on) it would mean no actual real-life benefit for me. It's not that I'm asking for money or anything, after all this is what I did for fun, and I shouldn't receive money for it. But it's just the reality, if I continuously spend much time on trying to fix Brawl my real life would suffer from this, I would be less able to focus on school and other hobbies that I just simply prefer over Brawl right now.
Mixing Brawl with school and other hobbies that I have is simply not going to work out, so yes, the well-known story of real-life getting in the way of having multiple hobbies.

That's pretty much it about why I'm leaving if you can't be bothered to read all that, I'm not motivated enough anymore for Brawl, school and other hobbies are getting in the way as well to spend time on Brawl.

So, I've been staff on here for over a year, and it was a lot of fun. a lot. of fun. I've met great people that taught me many things, not just on how to moderate a Minecraft server. But dealing with people, hosting events writing, listening and speaking English. I've learned a ton of social skills through moderating a Minecraft server, sounds crazy but it's true.

In that year a lot has happened in the staff Discord as well. Many people daily question what we are actually doing to improve the player count on Brawl. Since we haven't been quite open about that some people assumed that we didn't do that much. Reality is, we most certainly have.

I along with Chickenputty have put in hours trying to find a way to get our player count up through advertising, getting YouTubers/Twitch streamers. Of course with no good luck. Quite some money has gone into this and it sucks to see that it is with almost no improvement on our player count.

New game modes, updates, etc. Although I don't believe that redslime is being flamed at by a lot of people cause most do realize how much works he puts in, I figured I would just mention it here to make it clear to those with doubt. redslime daily literally puts in hours of work in Brawl, fixing and updating stuff. He would always be able to help you when you had some issues regarding a gamemode or wanted a small tweak or update to a certain game mode. And I hope for Brawl that this man doesn't resign soon, it would have some serious consequences for Brawl.

So no, the staff team isn't lazy and just letting Brawl die, in fact, the majority of the staff put in 2-3 hours a day trying to come up with ideas about how to fix game modes and how to improve Brawl.

But yeah like I said the majority of the staff team. there are a few staff members in the staff team that I personally believe would be better if they resign, the main reason is activity, if you're a staff member reading this, you most certainly know if you're active enough or not.




Anyways I had a ton of fun on here, it was an amazing 7 years of my childhood that I will never, ever forget. I thank you all, even the annoying alters, people that constantly flamed me, the general toxic players. Because of you people I have had an amazing end to this 7-year run, because like I stated before in the last year of being a staff member, I've most certainly learned the most.

What have I managed to accomplish as a staff member,
-Became a Moderator and soon after Senior Moderator.
-Changed up the event system and made regular events a thing again.
-Became KitPvP manager
-Managed to get KitPvP (with the help of the waffle man) the first update again in a while and getting my self-made map into the game mode
-in roughly 14 months I've managed to ban 1505 naughty hackers >, warn 880 naughty chat-rule breakers and permban about 213 people because they were annoying dip****s that kept alting

- @Carnotauros probably the one I spent the most time with on this server on raid an of course when you became assistant event manager, If you become the events manager keep my weekly events going or else I will big REEE, but seriously thank you so much, you are a great guy to hang around with. I will definitely hop on from time to time to speak with you.

- @Martyyy (Get your activity up lol) Anyways, us both getting Jmod at the same time was fun as hell, both figuring out all the staff commands and stuff was a lot of fun, it kinda sucks that contact between us two dropped since you haven't been able to be as active anymore, to you, much thanks as well.

- @chickenputty Just a little appreciation tag, you are a great owner and I honestly hope that Brawl will grow since you
deserve it.

Oh btw forgot to mention, I will likely return after I’ve finished my exams in May.

 

I will hop on Discord from time to time, but to be honest I will try to stay away from Brawl for right now.
