    As a middle ground, what if headshots dealt 8 (16) hearts 30-32 blocks, 9 (18) hearts 33-35 blocks, and instakills at 36

    have we ever considered that this may be more of an issue of map balancing and not the class itself

    no lol there are some maps that arent archer maps and they still do insane amount of work because of bowspam or just annoyance. headshots are possible still in high cover maps. and high cover maps are also annoying to play in due to blocks in the way of paths to flags which make archer still strong through KBing them back in those maps making their pathing bad

    I think the fact that headshots are 30 blocks is too short of a distance, but with the balance of the game it makes perfect sense to me as to why it is that way. With the way the game is right now (META), Archer's headshot needs to remain at 30 blocks. Archer does a great job of clearing clumped areas of players and raising the distance any higher would result in inefficiencies of doing this.

    I do not want to stray off topic, but one ability Archer has that I would like to see reduced is the effect a normal bow shot has on Chemists. Although Chemist is arguably the most powerful stand-alone class at face value due to its health pool, I never understood as to why this ability existed in the first place (considering it was in place before Chemist had resistance). I am curious to know the logic behind it, however, I still do not think it is needed in the game.

    Heavy was never changed up... Why did Archer have to be changed? LOL Kidding!

    I'd support raising the headshot distance to 40 or more if the server render distance was also increased. That way the window between someone appearing on your screen and being out of headshot range is not too small. It likely wouldn't cause too much more server lag as the server is merely displaying chunks that are already being rendered for other people elsewhere on the map.
