    How do you CTF?
    I'd love to know about the peripherals, hotkeys, mods, resource packs, or other useful things you use for CTF. Post an updated pic of your desktop/laptop if you'd like.

    (I'm more interested in seeing what everyone else does, but here's what I've got)
    Computer - iMac
    Mouse - loved my Razer DeathAdder but it died, seeking new mouse right now
    Mods - Optifine
    R to toggle perspective.
    P for pickblock to free up the scroll click for other things.
    I typically play as heavy/medic/soldier in casual. Sword on 1 and steak on 4 are leftover from previously maining as pyro. I probably need to relearn hotkeys for each class.
    [IMG]

    Common CTF Mods:
    (Check Rules for mod limitations)

    Common CTF Hotkeying / Keybinding:

    • Bind F5 perspective toggle to a reachable key
    • Hotkeying agreed as more accurate than scrolling, but can depend on class and how many slots are used. Hotkeys 1,2,3, and 4 are pretty easy to reach and where people often store their sword/steak/frequent items. Keys 5/6 are possible on a keyboard but take practice; some scroll to 7/8/9 due to distance.
    • Rearrange your hotbar and put items that aren't frequently used further away.
    • Utilize extra mouse keys as hotkeys if you have them.

    These are disgusting but hey they work for me.
    1st slot = 1
    2nd slot = 2
    3rd slot = F
    4th slot = R
    5-9 = Scroll
    Optifine Zoom = C
    Inventory = N (had to get it as far away as I could cause I kept accidentally pressing it)
    Bottom Half Mouse Button = Push to talk. :heart_eyes:

    My setup is super janky. I have a laptop plugged into a monitor which blackouts occasionally (so if I ever look like I'm blind in game it's because I literally am). Not gonna bother going into specs because they are particularly unremarkable.
    Mouse = Gecko Gaming Mouse 6D (Aussie Brand Represent)
    Headset = Razer Kraken X.
    Honestly this is has been a massive upgrade from what I was previously rocking, which was a bean bag on the floor with my laptop on a coffee table. Quarantine allowed me to get an actual desk which is honestly a relief.

    Cool thread, thought I'd take part even if my setup is pretty bog standard.

    Currently
    CTRL: Sprint
    E = Zoom
    R = F5
    F = Inventory
    C = Crouch
    Q = Drop

    Used to be
    Q = F5
    X = Drop
    C = Crouch
    F = Inventory
    R = Whatever the heal slot was
    E = Hotbar slot 1
    Shift = Sprint (back when togglesprint wasn't allowed)

    If I wanted to do something like souping then I changed a bunch of keys around WASD. Also used to have a mouse that allowed me to scroll really well because the scroll wheel notches were super defined.

    gtx 1060
    i7-8700K
    16 GB RAM
    1 TB Storage

    Used to be on a MacBook Pro 2015 15", as well as a Mac Mini 2014

    Main setup at my apartment consists of
    144 Hz Asus Monitor
    60 Hz Monitor
    Corsair K60 Keyboard
    Redragon M901 Mouse (12 side buttons, all weights kept out)
    Logitech G Pro Wireless
    SteelSeries Arctis Pro Headphones/Corsair Void Headphones

    Settings change like seasons, but this is it atm--

    Aim & View related:
    Windows mouse properties: 7/11 (enhance pointer precision off)
    Mouse DPI: 200 (1000 polling rate)
    In-game sensitivity: 108
    FOV: 102
    Speed FOV: Off
    Mouse Pad: SteelSeries QCK Large
    Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum/HERO with new-ish feet. I love for its crisp mechanical clicking. Not as great stability as the DeathAdder, but it works fine with my grip
    Grip: Claw

    Bindings:
    Recently trying to use 1-3 on my mouse to not affect movement direction while hotkeying those keys
    Ctrl: Sprint toggle, nice for the pinky xd
    R: F5
    C: Zoom

    Mods:
    Minecraft Forge, Forge Mod Loader, Player API,
    LabyMod, ToggleSneak,
    Reach Display Mod, KeyMod.

    #LaptopGamerFTW, perfect for on-the-go PvP battles ;DD
    OMEN HP 17-inch Gaming Laptop w/ 144Hz Anti-Glare G-Sync Display, i7-8750H, GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB, 16GB 2666MHz RAM, 1TB HDD & 128 GB PCIE SSD, Window
    ...which I do not recommend for a gaming laptop. It's way too heavy lol. There is another laptop similar price, exact same specs, but lighter which would've been the move...I forget its name tho, but I can find out if youre curious
    ...also the keyboard doesn't work sometimes like a sticky key :ok_hand: but that risk comes to everything, just a bish to fix for laptops
    ...honestly liked and played better on MacBook Pro 2012. It was spikier, not as "smooth," but I felt like my cursor moved better for where I wanted, when I wanted, instead of all of this "smooth" more pixels on a screen buffer. 144hz monitor is nice, but nothing beats the classics that I had gotten so used to :shrug:

    hotkeys
    - -
    tab - inventory
    c - OFzoom
    v - sprint
    that's it lol; i only hotkey up to 5 and use scrollwheel the rest of the way up

    game settings
    - -
    brightness - 20%+
    sensitivity - 96%
    fov - 92
    dynamic fov - off
    smooth lighting - max
    render distance - 24

    basic specs
    - -
    8core pc
    32gb ram
    chunky videocard w/ i think 8gb vram; nvidia
    1gig up/down internet
    mc is installed on an ssd

    aside from OF i run mc completely raw w/o clients or mods on 1.8.9; 1.12.2 has dynamicsurroundings and keystrokesmod installed though i only play on it when i'm too lazy to switch versions

    I might be a bit late but this thread seems cool so

    Keybinds:

    Inventory: R
    OF Zoom: E
    Toggle perspective (F5): TAB
    Show player list: Left Control

    I have my sprint key bound to my mouse as well as the number 7 which means I can switch to buffs on chemist easily. (Used for push to talk in other games)

    Chemist inventory layout is:
    Sword - Damage - Poison - Heal - Regen - Fres - Sp/Str - Compass - Jump boost

    To get to jump boost I switch to my sword and then scroll back 1 slot before switching back again.

    And here is my setup, I've got a ryzen 5 3600x and an RTX 2060. The case used to look cool with a bunch of LEDs but I burnt them out because I was very clever and drew too much current from the header on the motherboard. (Which is an x570 one, so ouch)

    The monitor on the left runs at 75hz and the main one 165hz, both 1080p. Mouse is a g502 and keyboard is a logitech g610.

    I also built a server PC during lockdown and that's what's under the desk, it contains a ryzen 3 3200g and I'm using it to host a modded Minecraft server with like 80 mods, as well as a Windows VM that's running a space engineers server.
