Cumulative punishments should only apply to a specific type of offense, not all offenses within in a group. With this in mind, I believe the strike system should be edited as follows to ensure that players are not only assessed more concisely, but also to encourage hosts to be more vigilant and communicative when handling a strike. Keep in mind this also implies that all strikes would be given after their respective PPM and not before, no matter which host is giving it.

Offenses And Their Punishments, In Days:
    - Did not arrive on time, arrived before match start: 2
    - Did not arrive on time, arrived mid-game: 5
    - No-show #1: 5
    - No-show #2 (First day after No-show #1): 9
    - No-show #3 (First day after No-show #2): 14
    - MMR or host rule violation #1: 2
    - MMR or host rule violation #2 (Same match): 5
    - MMR or host rule violation #3 (Same match): 9
    - MMR or host rule violation #4 (Same match): 14
For simplicity in giving a strike, these could be correspondingly named "time-1" "time-2" "rule-1" etc. and read out the actual reason for the strike in the bot response. To clarify, a day does mean 24 hours in the no-show offenses, which would go by the PPMs' scheduled times; Keep in mind those variants only apply to No-show #1, despite time-2 having the same duration.

I'm mainly posting this because the current system ignores accuracy to a situation, and simply goes by your offense count. While I don't completely omit the concept of cumulative punishments, It can be frustrating for all of us when someone receives a strike for a cause that doesn't at all match the duration. It's also obvious that everyone will have their reasons/excuses for making one of these offenses,; This would allow hosts to make their decisions easier & quicker, and provide an accurate & static reference for most cases.

I agree that the strike system needs a revamp however some of this is just absolutely absurd? Why would someone be striked for turning up early?

I'm assuming you mean the first one on that list. That's for when a host intentionally waits longer than they should for a player to show up & can't find a sub before then, or the few cases where the sub lets the original person play if the host is still waiting on something else.
