There was actually recoil in the original War. Your screen didn't move up, but the player himself was knocked back. It lead to a bunch of ooms and abuse which lead to it's removal. Don't ever add it back. It was the worst thing to ever happen to War imo.
it's true that recoil allowed people to get OOM a lot, but guns like desert eagle and minigun are 10x as good as they were when recoil was in the game. I don't really know how to make recoil good for both sides of the argument, yet sprint-jumping around with a minigun and being able to hipfire perfectly while sprinting w/ deagle are not how those guns should function.
The fact that it was so annoying is why I hated it so much. You would try to move and then have the glitchy recoil slam you into the ground or something. Also, rip jumping quickscopes in War 2.0. :v
@tr1kim I'm assuming you are using movement packets to play with the pitch. It can work when standing still, but when moving the cursor and shooting this will become glitchy, especially with the lag.
This is because the server can not move the pitch relatively, it can only set an absolute value. This means if I shoot, move my cursor to the left, and THEN my client receives the server's response, the horizontal movement will be discarded.
yeah there's some problems at high firerates...
But i have came up with a way that might fix the problem.. I am working on it.

^^ moving the mouse so it points to the same place all the time.... Note that my ping is pretty high in that video. So thats how it should look at its worst. Better Ping = looks better. Note that the aks firerate is basicly the worst possible for the recoil

Yeah, it sure looks anoying (it does not feel that bad actually while playing). but I do not really understand what you mean with the glitchyness at 1.40. It sure is harder to control your gun while the gun has a recoil, but shouldn't thay be the case?
I think its a matter of taste whether you like the recoil or not. Some peeps like when its more realistic, while others like when its smoother.
