How do you play hockey? It's like soccer with boosters right?

Its only like soccer in the sense that there's goals. You play on ice with like armor on and you hit a puck with a stick. It's quite entertaining for us Alaskans xD

There's 6 players on the ice for each team. 1 goalie, 2 defense, three forwards. The object of the game is to take the rubber disk (puck) and move it up the ice to the opponents net. The puck must enter the opponents defensive end, your offensive end, to be “onside." No one on your team can enter the zone until the puck is in

the zone. Then, you set up a “play." It's a type of strategy where you stay in your position on the ice and pass the puck around to your teammates using your stick, keeping it away from the defending team, until you find a weak spot in the defensive strategy, in which case you use the stick to shoot the puck at the net guarded by the other teams goalie.

Some of the leagues allow checking, which is using your body to knock the opponent out of position away from the puck.
