Even then, you can still evolve Riolu in moon. That's not really the problem.

Riolu always starts at a high level with low stats. This makes it difficult to level up, and it often faints. This results in low friendship and thus, not being able to evolve. Kinda annoying, but you have to deal with it.

And hey, atleast it isn't hydreigon (evolves at level 64)

XP share would work.

Still, leveling up goes waaayyyy faster when you take the pokemon out and battle with it.

Using xp share will slow it down a loooooot
+ other pokemon I don't want to be OP become OP with xp XPshare.
