As someone who essentially only uses the forums now, for a +1 the applicant needs to completely convince me they're ready. This means there needs to be some sort of introduction to the applicant (obviously not anything totally formal, but it should include more than a one-sentence summary of the length of time you've been playing the servers).
The part of Colonel_Graff that I'm most familiar with after reading his application is that he had installed a hacked client and used to to debug. While it's clear it wasn't used for an unfiar advantage, that's still not a great introduction.
Plus, a short application needs to be very detail-packed. While it's true that longer applications often are filled with fluff, shorter applications often lack detail by nature. It's hard to write 10 sentences that give the same amount of information as 100 sentences, even 100 fluff-filled sentences.
A shorter app also hints at less effort put into it. Staff should be dedicated and fully ready to do their job, and any doubt that the applicant is dedicated should not be taken lightly.
ObamaTheReptile, first off you should be TrumpTheReptile, also you might not know this but Graff was a really good staff member on MCPVP. Seeing people do it before can give you a impression in the future community, most people are giving him +1 because he's obviously supportive of brawl and loves it a lot, and he's just a friendly guy all the times I've seen him.
When I was playing the most recent old raid map, he bought boosters because so many people were on and tried to help us buying haste boosters! See he's a good person all around, he may of had some dark moments, but in the end he's a nice human being like the rest of us.
That's not what I was saying. I have no idea what kind of a person he is because he doesn't explain anything in his staff app, which is why people are saying it isn't detailed enough.
You're missing my point entirely. Having not known him, I need to get to know him from his staff app alone. If an applicant doesn't give me a good sense of who they are from their application, it's my opinion that their app isn't detailed enough.
