Late post but in the past decade in just Fairbanks, Alaska, we've had one FPD officer shot in his own car, and two State Troopers shot down in Tannana. What's ironic is that's I'm friends with the kid who is related to both the people who committed the shootings.
All in all, being a police officer in Alaska can be really sketchy. The only cops that don't get messed with are the MPs on the Air Force and Army bases.
The last officer to die in the line of duty in my city was back in 1948. Crime is quite low. I understand things can change over time, demographics and stuff. I accept that.
If I do die in the line of duty, I believe I would have died another way, if I wasn't a police man.
This is a list of all the police that have died this year. https://www.odmp.org/search/year/2017
What's ironic is that a sergeant Brandt told his wife that he thought he might get shot that day. He also happened to be a man who believed in God. Thought you might appreciate that Gehenna.
God was likely speaking to him. I remember my aunt was thinking about my great-grandmother one morning when suddenly she got a call from my mom saying she's on her deathbed.
If you really feel like something bad is going to happen, chances are something might.
