I'd like to point out to @MattM1PVP that you have as much proof for your God's existence as Muslims. Buddhists, and basically any other religion does.

i dont see why you base your beliefs off of ancient texts instead of modern sciences. if the creators of the bible did not plant the idea of god and jesus into peoples minds, i cannot see a time when people would think that there is a god or jesus.

i can, however, see the theories of evolution and carbon dating etc. being discovered by humans over time because of the fact that often times dicoveries lead to other dicoveries and branch off one another.

Speaking in tongues, while impressive sounding, is essentially gibberish until you can assign a translate let meaning to it. I can open my mouth and make sounds that sound like a language, but unless and until that language means the same thing to multiple people it's just noise.

Now no doubt you felt something spiritual while at the camp; being surrounded by lots of like minded people can elicit responses within humans that they might not consciously wish to exhibit (i.e. mob mentality or that feeling of oneness you get at concerts)

But while that might prove a God exists to YOU, which is perfectly fine since I'm not you and I'm not living your life... it means jack squat to ME.

To further comment on your points, I have no issues accepting that there *might* be a god (not capital G 'god' but more like a guiding power) who's orchestrating evolution... but

Until I see evidence showing that is true, I will accept the current theories that state that evolution is a slow natural process of births and deaths that gradually changes a gene pool of animals based on their ability to get laid and reproduce...

Because if there WERE a being orchestrating all of evolution over a planetary scale then they are really, really terrible at it. I can think of multitudes of things on the human body that would be terribly thought out if they were designed, like the human eye's blind spot or the fact that a dude's reproductive cells hang in a Hella vulnerable area.

Long story short, while I am not opposed to the potential of a god that exists and f*cks with our biology, the idea that this god is able to do anything at any time and knows everything that's happening and every outcome...

It is human nature to believe in supernatural forces. 84% of the world is religious.

Gehenna, I think you still didn't fully get the car analogy.
Yes, sure, seen from your point, god gave 'us' free thinking, which isn't comparable with assembling a car obviously.
Still, Google and other companies have been working on artificial intelligence for quite a long time now and it's quite impressive how far they've come. If their super-computer makes a mistake, it's still Google being held responsible.

****in ' 420 limits... at any rate, carbon dating really is a... *dated* form of age detection, which is basically used for a baseline idea to determine the age of fossils or any organic material. To determine the age of the earth or rocks we use radiometric dating (among other methods).

@Gehenna_Beam if you define 'human nature' as 'taught by others' then yes.

Without other people telling you what to believe there's no way you'd believe exactly what you believe now... which is why although a lot of the world is religious... not a lot of that world is at peace.

Also as sbdy else stated before, it doesn't take a genius to realise that beings with free thinking might do things which can lead to a disaster. So god KNEW he was in the process of setting the basis for sin and thus allowing the 'existence' of cancer and the like

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against god at all or anything, I just don't believe in it (but I do not claim to know that no such thing as a god exists).[EDIT: removed the unintentional litotes]
The thing which bugs me is that you take everything literally, which, as already pointed out by someone else, is kind of a circular logic.

Now on the topic of sin and free will...

For an all powerful God to not want to interfere with sin due to the concept of free will is so odd to me. Was it my free will to get a disease that could kill me like Malaria or Polio? Because I'm pretty sure that if I could cure someone of Malaria instantly they would want me to.

Was it the free will of a child to be born with Cancer despite never having a chance to save the self through Jesus and thus being sent instantly to hell?

    BAWSS5
Free will and an all powerful, just God aren't even incompatible, because God could just make it so it's NOT interfering with free will, being all powerful and all... yet Malaria still exists today and people who will never know Jesus because God only made salvation possible by reading a BOOK will die from it. Very just.

One thing I have always said is what do you have to lose if you go and listen to the possibility of there being a God? What do you have to lose by going into a church, expecting to meet someone who is God?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but almost all religions say that if you don't believe in their gods, you're gonna rot in hell when you die. Well if they're all false, you're not gonna lose much when you die. But if they're true, you're gonna rot in hell. So once again, my question, what do you have to lose?

I'll have basically wasted a lot of time doing something I might not enjoy doing and just did it for the sake of not rotting in hell.
If everyone thought this way, imagine where we'd be now.
I mean believing in god is one thing, going to church and doing all the things the priests want you to is another.
If the whole world had followed priests etc. we'd be still stuck in the 14th century or something similar.

I'll provide as much evidence as I can to the fact that my God exists, like that one I said earlier. Ultimately though, if you don't believe that my god exists, it's your choice, nothing I can do. I'm not the kind of people to castrate you and stuff a stake up your ass if you dont believe.
