What do you mean how else were humans supposed to reproduce?

lust = sexual desire (how else would they reproduce if they did not have strong sexual desires)

I'm not entirely sure if God intended them to multiply before they "fell", if you know what I mean by that. If they did have sexuality then, they had much better control of it.

so youre saying that he just created a dick and a ***** on Adam and Eve and made it so sperm would fertilize eggs and also created a womb for eve to reproduce without intending for sex to happen?

    19Cameron91
Well, since you said that, they probably were suppose to populate all along, even when they were sinless.

but lust is needed for that (sexual desire) so youre just going in a circle

When you see someone naked or notice them naked for the first time, you're going to feel either disturbed or aroused.

Gehenna, I just LOVE how you say "how can Joseph Smith be taken seriously"...

How can ANYTHING in the Bible be taken seriously? Talking snakes? Walking on water? People rising from the dead? Not ONCE has anyone ever filmed, taken a photograph, or produced any kind of hard evidence of ANY of that happening :v

You're probably not going to find any "hard" evidence of stuff like that. Couldn't the same thing be said about secular science? I've seen creationist scientists say carbon dating is greatly miscalculated.

It doesn't make sense to me that all this is just one big random accident. Two planets somehow crash into each other and there's Earth. Eventually, everything will collapse on itself. Ever heard of the big crunch?

On evidence of God, I could point to the origin of the universe. How did everything come into existence? How did the first atoms come into existence? I get a similar question from atheists. How did God come into existence? Where did He come from? We both have the same answer, it's always existed.

Gehenna, carbon dating is NOT miscalculated, it's absolute science. Everyone in my school learns it, who does Physics. All the Physics teacher know how it works. I know how it works. It really isn't rocket science.

so you dumb down all the complex concepts that geniuses have come up with to being the doing of a mythical being? thats delusional, actually delusional. look at yourself from the outside, your concept of god is no different from the other religions. just a bunch of bull**** to explain things you cant comprehend

Your problem, and the problem with all creationist scientists, is that first you decide to believe in God, then you look for evidence. If you believe hard enough, you can find meaningless evidence and try to make meaning out of it.

Whereas I, and most other atheists, don't start our learning from an ideological standpoint. I wasn't taught atheism by my parents.

Gehenna, I know it doesn't make sense that this is all a big accident, but you've got to think logically. You're using intuition, emotion, and that gets us nowhere when we try to answer big questions.

Oh and on the topic of where the universe came from, idfk. No one does. That's the difference. Christians claim to have the absolute truth, scientists say they don't know. And it's irrelevant to evolution by the way.

    GlobalistCuck
You still haven't show why evolution is false, or why carbon dating doesn't work, which tells me that your problem isn't with the actual science, only that the science conflicts with your beliefs, and that's a child's attitude. "I don't wanna listen cause I don't like what's being said."

How about you try learning about evolution, carbon dating, take it all then, and THEN make your mind up?

I think your big problem Gehenna, is that because you can't immediately understand big scientific ideas, you turn to religion. You gotta think it out, use logic man! Yes, the odds of a bunch of random events occurring resulting in Earth and humankind are VERY slim. But if those events hadn't occurred, we wouldn't be here so we wouldn't know!

I believe it's a logical fallacy to do with "survivorship bias" but don't quote me on that. We weren't here for the millions of times life WASN'T created, so we don't think about them. We are here as a result of ONE time that life was created, but instead of thinking of ourselves are very lucky/random, we erringly assume there's a divine creator behind it all.

We could go on forever on this. I don't. Creationists and atheists have debated these things for years. Anticreation science is wide spread and institutionalized in most countries. If you wanted to go to countries where the education system teaches creationism, you'd, unfortunately, would have to go to countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Yes, virtually my entire family are church going Christians. I have been in church my entire life, although I haven't had a true understanding or passion of it until very recently. A certain Brawl player here opened my eyes somehow after seeing their struggles.

There are some things that have made me more confident in my religion. The fact that Jesus actually existed. My religion is very unique compared to others. My God has done things no other god of other religions has done. My religion is largest in the world and has been that way for centuries.

He's talking about selective breeding of dogs for certain traits, like pugs.

To be honest, Gehenna, I'm banging my head against a wall at your circular logic and lack of understanding or willingness to understand. It's REALLY hard not to call you an idiot, or a moron, cause that's how you're acting. But I'll try to keep this civil.

You are COMPLETELY blinded by faith and unwilling to listen to reason. This only confirms my view that religion is brainwashing. You're mentally damaged and I worry that you'll never recover. You have a complete disregard for reality, and anything that contradicts your belief.

Gehenna, can you accept these axioms of logic and proof?

    - To prove something you need substantive evidence
    - Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof
    - The process of analysing claims, gathering evidence, and making conclusions, should be done scientifically or logically.

If you can do that, then we can start from square one and maybe you'll understand. If you can't, then I'm afraid you're just gonna be stuck in your delusion for the rest of your life.

Also, I have two questions for which I'd really like to hear your answer.

    1. Why is it that if one person hears voices in their head, and does what the voices tells them, they have a mental illness, but if 2 billion people hear voices in their heads and do what the voices tell them, it's called faith?

    2. Why are you right and ALL the other religions are wrong? Don't tell me it's because your God is kinder or better, that makes no sense. Provide PROOF.

    1. Some Christians actually hear God speak to them. I can't say I ever had, but I feel Him in my heart. God isn't going to tell people to kill to prove that faith. This ain't Old Testament times.
