So our opinions do not matter, in the grand scheme of things. Hitchens, for instance, was accepted with only 36% (?) +1's and there hasn't been an issue. If Carnotauros needs to be told by his peers what he's doing wrong then that is a sign he isn't ready imo
either that or he is overvaluing community opinion. Also these comment threads like 'I'm applying soon, what should I do???' etc. put off a lot of people. Me included. You should know what you need to work on. Work on it
I still don’t see what is wrong with asking what I need to improve on. I am trying to improve on the stuff Eil said on my app, but to make sure that I have not missed anything that I need to improve on, I’ll ask here. I’m not unstable at any point, I just want to hear you guys opinions what I need to improve on so that I can improve and be a better applicant.
What eil said are the specific issues preventing you from getting staff (which of you are constantly misleading the community). If what eil said is unclear, ask him to elaborate. The rest is just to know how to act professionally, be online in-game and have ts.
You should not need community input in order to be professional, active in-game or download ts.
Firstly, and from my point of view, the issue of asking for constructive feedback is nothing wrong. It's for the best to be honest. We do that in real life everytime. Constructivism is what makes us better in the future.
Now as to what to improve - just keep doing what you are doing well, refrain from getting into fights with Eil and 0racle even if they are wrong. Keep it calm, talk to them and if there's anything going on just solve it calmly.
To be honest, as I see it the staff system has:
1. Became much stricter than ever before, x>2 years ago. Every move of the player can go against him in an application whether he did it on purpose or not, in anger for example. Yes, this teaches more self control, good, maturity, very well, but we all make mistakes.
2. More complicated than before. Yes, there's been a reduce on the questions but this is not what I am reffering to. The staff applications team look for qualities that some time ago were considered to be ahead of their time.
All these were made for a reason but I think they have gone a little too far with this.
Now as to what Admiral_Memesn referred to, he has a point.
Most of the times, myself included last time (let's not talk about this, it was very cringy), people ask for feedback just to only work on them and just to get staff. After they are denied they shrug all of it (the feedback) and return to being immature again.
Anon is a raid mod, I’d better pay him some respect and improve on what he’s telling me to improve on or I will have a way harder time getting accepted.
