Also, God is nicer than all the other gods? I mean, he's responsible for more deaths than anyone else ever... (the flood). And I invite you to go to Africa where children are starving to death or people dying of HIV/AIDS and tell them how much God loves them and is helping them. I'm sure they'd love to hear that.

I'd like to hear you tell little Timmy who's 5 and has bone cancer, all about how everything is part of God's plan and that God is the kindest guy ever. I'm sure Timmy is feeling that kindness.

You know why I'd rather the Greek gods be real than the Christian God? Because they're honest, or the myths are honest.

Zeus, Poseidon, etc. aren't painted as these all-powerful all-merciful gods who can't do wrong. They can be dcks. They can be petty and small and spiteful and murderous and they don't pretend not to be. They are flawed, just as humans are flawed, and although they're obviously not real, I would prefer they rule the universe. The Christian God is just as bad, but he pretends otherwise.

    6. If Judaism and Christianity never existed, I doubt you could make up a god like my God. Every other god seems just like their creators, and people seems obsessed with making more than one god, a god of love, a god of fire, etc., instead of an all-in-one god.

You seem to forget or don't care that pre-flood humanity was pure evil, enough to push God to kill everyone, except the few who were still good and loyal. They must have been pretty bad, especially if you look at the Earth today. I'm pretty sure you'd want them all dead too, if you saw them.

Remember, it's the sinful nature of humanity why there's so much suffering, and I believe no human being dies in vein. God brings out good from their suffering. It's up to us to see it.

God set up what is right and wrong from the very beginning, and He never breaks His own laws. You may say He has from killing people, but what is the penalty of sin? Death. You think God enjoys smiting the wrongdoers? No. It's like we're rabid dogs and God is our loving owner. We're going to have to be euthanized, unless we take the cure He has provided for us, His sacrifice.

    4. No such thing as magic? WHAT ARE TALKING SNAKES GEHENNA? A GUY LIVING IN A FKING WHALE? You can call them "miracles" or "supernatural events" but they're just as magic and fake as spells in Harry Potter.

    6. Well of course I couldn't. All Gods are different, I couldn't make one exactly the same. And I don't know what you're trying to prove by saying you prefer your own god to others.

Of COURSE you prefer your own god to others, you believe in him and you don't believe in them. It doesn't really mean anything.

On the flood - I'm of the view that no one deserves to die, no matter how bad they are. I think that being anti-murder is a pretty important rule. A commandment, even. Like, one of the ten commandments? "Thou shalt not kill"? Oops.

You're trying to excuse God's genocide and breaking of his own commandment but really there's no excuse. I don't care how evil they are. Also I thought all sins were equal. So technically the pre-flood humans were only as evil as us, since we're all sinners?

Also: Did any of the pre-flood humans do anything worse than Hitler? How come God felt the need to punish the entire human race for being bad but couldn't do anything about F*CKING HITLER? Where was God when his chosen people were in concentration camps?

"He never breaks His own laws". "what is the penalty of sin? Death."

You see the contradiction? GOD SAID THOU SHALT NOT KILL THEN HE KILLS PEOPLE. I don't care if it's a punishment or whatever it is, if you make something a commandment, you really shouldn't do it. God' just a hypocrite.

    "we're rabid dogs"
"we're gonna have to be euthanised"

this is sick. this is why I hate religion and hate Christianity. You've been taught to hate yourself, to view yourself as some kind of lesser being to God who needs fixing. Something that's broken. We're supposed to feel bad for being human, for the way we are.

It reminds me of 1984, where all the citizens have been brainwashed to worship the party that oppresses them. God is the ultimate dictator, yet still you love him and consider yourself inferior. Why? Surely you believe in democracy. If Obama had suspended the constitution at the end of his term and declared dictatorship, you would've been outraged

But the rule of God is the exact opposite of democracy. I didn't vote for him to rule my life. Putting aside the fact that he's not real, if he was then I wouldn't follow his rules. Who the fk is he to tell me how to live my life? I thought Americans were all about freedom, but where's the freedom to make your own choices about right and wrong?

    4. Is there a scientific explanation to Satan's shape-shifting and a lot of what God does? Quite possibly. What is it? We'll possibly never know. God actually limits our intellectual reach and capabilities and what we can learn. Why? Because, what sinful mankind could develop could be destructive to the universe. Look at the atomic bomb. Imagine if we could develop time travel. The horror.

    6. What do you think should happen when the world full of anarchy, rape and murder and only a few people are good and non-violent? A world where no one will listen to rhyme or reason that raping and killing kids is wrong and they think it's great. A world where everyone is an ISIS fighter but only a few are good samaritans. What should be done?

We should feel bad for our sins. It's part of humbling ourselves before God. He's the only one who can save us from ourselves. Every evil thing we do causes the storms, earthquakes, and even CLIMATE CHANGE. I guess it really is manmade.

    4. I agree, there COULD be a scientific explanation. But until there is one, why believe in it? Also, you know why you're taught this "God made it so that there are limits to our understanding" crap, right? IT'S TO MAKE YOU SWALLOW ALL THE STUPID BS.

Gehenna you need to take a step back and just wonder "what if it's all a lie". You're taught not to question, not to try and understand for yourself, and just blindly follow this book. But what if your teachers, parents, what if they were lying to you? What if even your parents and teachers were all duped by these lies, and they just passed it on to you?

Also, whale or fish, it's still moronic. And in a world like you described I would like a benevolent all merciful God to change the way people are behaving without KILLING THEM ALL. I mean, we're not like that today so clearly he did something to stop us from being so "sinful". Was the mass genocide really necessary?

"We should feel bad for our sins". This what's sick. It's making you hate yourself. GEHENNA STOP HATING YOURSELF FFS.

and are you kidding with me with this "sins cause natural disasters" sh*t. We know what causes these things. Weather systems, tectonic plates, and greenhouse gases. Did you never get taught about any of these things?

Also can you explain this "mankind dictate my life" thing? Well, yeah I let man-made laws dictate my life. It's called obeying the law and not being a dck to other human beings... And if I were gonna let something dictate my life, I'd at least prefer it to be real. Living your life according to the rules of some being who isn't even real is just the saddest thing ever.

    Here's a brilliant quote I saw:

"If the threat of eternal damnation is the only thing keeping you from being a sh*tty person, you're already a sh*tty person."

I don't murder and rape because I think it's wrong. Whereas you have said you'd commit rape if you thought God wasn't watching. Do you think you are more moral than me?

Also: I have confidence in my convictions because I know I have a safety net if I'm wrong. It's called evidence and the scientific process. If evolution turns out to be fake (99.999% chance it won't, don't even start), I can look back over the evidence and realise it was wrong.

Heck scientists love being wrong, it furthers their understanding. Being wrong in science isn't like being wrong in politics, other scientists will respect you for admitting when you're wrong so they can move forward to find what is true. Whereas in religion you're told that evidence is unnecessary and planted by the devil or some sht.

Or you're told about how mankind can't possibly understand how the world works so we should just blindly accept the Bible with no critical thinking. If you're wrong, how would you know? How would you know? You've got no safety net, no evidence to fall back on, no logical process to check over.

There are, unfortunately, a lot of Christians who are jerks, despite being saved from Hell. In fact, I know a few.

    4. Well your Sunday School teacher must love genocide and homophobia, slavery, incest, and all the other wacky sht in the Bible. Also are you saying that you'd actually like to live a lie, if it's a nice lie? You don't care about the truth, as long as the lie is a good one?

This "if god says it's necessary then it's necessary" sht is moronic. Can't you think for yourself?

I go to a school that is by no means atheist or secular, we have school prayers and bible readings. But even here we are taught the three "G"s of colonization; Gold, Glory and God. Spreading the faith was a large part of colonization and fed into this mentality that Europeans are better than other cultures because God is on their side.

On the first quote; it's not just any "denier", it's literally the PM he wants jailed for willful ignorance and neglect. I'm tempted to agree; the old Canadian government was terrible on climate change from what I know. It's like jailing the people responsible for the poisoned water in Flint, Michigan.

    GlobalistCuck
We know lead-poisoning kills/harms people. We know climate change will do the same. The fact that moronic Republicans think climate change isn't a serious threat doesn't mean it isn't criminal negligence to allow climate change to continue unchecked. Some island nations could be almost completely underwater by the end of the century.

Similarly with the Eric Idle tweet, either he means politicians (more likely) in which case he has a point, or he's wacko. Notice how many of his followers dispute the point... that view isn't exactly mainstream.

Similar with the Bill Nye thing. The common theme seems to be that people in POWER, people who are RESPONSIBLE, should be jailed for lying to the public with horrendous consequences. I wouldn't necessarily 100% agree with that but I think it's a fair point to make. Climate change will kill people, and deniers in government have more than their fair share of the blame.

btw if you'd just said "some scientists think politicians who deny climate change should be jailed" then I would've probably accepted that. But it doesn't seem they're saying "EVERYONE" who denies should be jailed, and there was no mention of the death penalty...
