As an ex-mod, I know that ts3 is very important. Answering questions and being helpful will give you a great advantage in your application process, and if you are actively contributing to your server of choice then your activity does not have to be great

But ts3 is another great advantage and is argueably the most important. I would recommend spending some time on ts3, even if you just chat and dont use a mic

I do not have ts3 and I do not think I will be able to get it till I build my new PC

Ahh, well maybe you should hold off on an app until you become familiar with it
