    It is basically a Japanese book series that is now an MMORPG.
    Just another Anime. Basically there are these kids who are trapped in "SAO" which puts them in Aincrad, a tower that was also in the thread. You try to get to the top floor beating bosses and having fights, etc.

    A friend explained this to me a while back.
