I'm almost 100% positive there will be no major changes to HG. You can only play HG and CTF if you want, but I'd think someone who is (most likely) good at pvp would like something like MCWarZ and MCWar.

Did you play the one server (Something like raid?) on mcpvp?
Survival PVP Is Extremely similar. You might wanna try that out as well.
Also, obviously, don't give out skype, get a vpn, especially if you play warz, because

DDoS.

Raid might be cool to check out, though I was never really into that, and yeah, DDoS was an issue on McPVP too ;-;

I'm 100% sure ddos started on warz, but it has really lowered, in june and july you couldn't play the servers for 10 seconds without getting threatened `-`
