You could back it up with reasons and give ways to improve, not just bluntly shoot him down.

It's funny how he asked for our opinion. However, he wasn't satisfied by the responses that he ASKED for and now both of are criyng like butthurt babies just because we said we didn't think he was the right person for HG mod. Ahh man, I knew the internet was bad, but not this bad lol

Wolfasa, by that logic, to say just "yes" is just as bad as saying "no". They are both blunt responses.

The fact that you said no is perfectly fine, and debating that fact is stupid, I agree.

Stating that he has no chance of getting it is, however, just plain unnecessary.

His chances of getting mod are basically non-existent currently. If he becomes a mature, helpful and trustworthy person, which he currently isn't, he might get promoted.

It is pointless, even irresponsible, to tell him that he should apply for mod. To apply now would destroy his chances of moderator in the future, as it is highly unlikely that he would be accepted.

I understand and agree now, but say that in the first place and don't just bluntly say no. ;-;

I know that and I myself have gotten fed up at him, but he's also one of my oldest friends.

My point is that you, turkey, have to improve and accept the harsh internet reality - if you want to become a moderator, you have to work hard, and meet the requirements, which you currently do not meet. The "WannaBeMod" behavior kills the chances of becoming a staff member, and tryharding leads to nowhere.

Idc if you're mature in game. Be mature on the forums too.

Global maturity is key. Do not show a fragment of it, show its entirety.
