A weeaboo is someone who wants to be Japanese A LOT.

Waifu = anime girfriend/wife/crush/slave(extreme cases)

A more elaborate definition of a weeaboo:

Someone who wants to be japanese, but isn't. weeaboos try acting like a japanese by talking japanese (often, very bad) just from watching anime and manga. They often times hate the fact that they are not japanese and see that as a flaw to themselves.

tip: Never go full weeaboo. It makes you look like a massive asshole.

ALSO: otakus.

Otakus are much more extreme versions of weeaboos. The key difference is that anyone, japanese or not, can be an otaku.

Otakus have the same characteristics as a weeaboo, altho to a much more extreme obsession. This includes not only liking anime + japanese things, but buying merchandise from anime and japanese things. They also have a loveable sense of style they show in their cosplays of their favourite anime.

Otakus are also obsessed with hentai... on an extreme level.

Nothing, really. You can't judge people based on what their preferences. But it might appear off-putting to others.

It is your choise to be an otaku/weeaboo or not. That doesn't mean that I don't think that it is absolutely stupid/weird.
